Voyage : ED746-MWI Port of Destination : PORT HUENEME, CAI envy you. My car was finished on Nov 13 and at the port on the 15th and still nothing has shown up in the online cargo ship tracker. I'm in San Diego, so I think my car is also headed for Port Hueneme.
Is this a WW ship? Did you actually find it on the tracking site? Although, I would like to be able to track the ship, I'd really prefer that it is already on a ship even if I can't track it.
If it's not a WW ship, how did you find out the ship name?

i followed this link:
which takes you to Cargo Tracking, click on Track By: Auto Cargo, enter your vin # as the Cargo ID, and poof....cargo status. Good luck.

Choose Auto Cargo, enter your VIN and then see what pops up. If you get nothing, your car isn't in their system yet. It also could mean that your car is being shipped through another carrier. In that case, your car will magically show up one day at your dealer!

For those on the Maersk Wind, she's sitting outside of Southampton coming from Zeebrugge Belgium (wow .. say that 3 times fast). Should be in port tomorrow morning.

My bet is you're on the Maersk. According to the booking information the booking for the ship for my vin took place on the 25th of September (before I even settled on getting a Mini). I assume BMW / MINI books spots on the ships ahead of time, I would assume you have a spot too. Good luck mate!

My mini is on the Maersk Wind! I had got the VIN over the phone from Ask Mini and was off by a letter. I just double checked it on the owner's lounge, got the right one, and now have confirmed I'm on the ship.

Rechecked again 15 minutes later....I'm booked on the Otello and its heading to Belgium. Won't get to Southampton until Tomorrow and won't land in NY until the 29th of Nov.
Actually its docked nicely in Zeebrugge, Belgium looking at the AISLIVE.com site, probably offloading and expected to leave today for UK.

I just realized you guys are going to the west coast. I'm an east coaster so that why I'm not on your ship.

I just heard back from my MA and he said it's listed as 'Produced Not Shipped' according to their records. Maybe it got a little sloshed before it's planned voyage, went on a drunken rampage in the streets of Southampton and is now sitting in the pokey. Or whatever they call jail over there.

I spent enough on the car already. It's going to have to hit someone else up to bail it's boot out of jail.
I was feeling pretty good about my order until they announced the ensuing factory JCW upgrade option for mid 2008. I just keep telling myself that I wasn't even planning on getting the MCS in the first place. I don't need even more power.
Driving lights would be nice though.....no....bad Modnar...no more options!

My MA called me today and asked me if I wanted my JCW Tuning Kit, JCW Aero Kit and day lights installed at the dock.
I said...."but of course"
She said she wanted to make sure before the ship docked.
I think the dealers would charge more at the dealership for the installation.
So I might be at the dock for a week maybe.
She also will check if I can get the JCW springs installed as well.
It lowers the car .4 inches which is enough for me. I don't want to scrape too much with the aero kit installed.

The dealer was going to charge $1200 vs $680 at the dock for parts and installation for the driving lights.

Are we talking about the lights they can put on the front grill? If so .. is it a VDC optional install?
My MA told me point blank that the dealership had to install the lights. If they're installed at the VDC I would love to save the $$$. I have no problem calling them up and chewing some ears.
