I am really wishing I would hear from my MA. I've sent him a couple of e-mails, one just a fun one though. I was reeeeeeeeally hoping I could do pick-up Saturday, leaving here Friday night and staying overnight in Memphis. That takes planning though- getting someone to care for the five dogs, getting packed, getting kiddo packed and to the grandmother's, getting a rental car, and all that. It is not an easy thing for me to drop everything and be gone overnight...

Maybe it is going to have to be the 8th.

The drama is over? Not hardly, yet! I still have to see that my 6 dependant beings are cared for until I return, and I have to pack an overnight bag for me and one for my daughter(that is the easy part). Cripes, gotta see if Chris can take the 2 Japanese Chin for the weekend.... Who's going to feed the 3 Shelties? Call mom, tell her kiddo IS coming Friday afternoon, gotta call my best friend and see if kiddo can go to her house Saturday afternoon, since my mom has to go to a bank Christmas Social thing on Saturday afternoon/early evening. :impatient :impatient :impatient

Lookin' great! "Convenience package" = bluetooth. Can you tell us whether you've got an USB connection slider right next to the aux-in jack? Inquiring (and extremely overly optimistic) week 45ers want to know I want to know.

I spoke to my dealer today and arranged to pick up my car on Friday evening. I have my travel plans all arranged and am all ready!

 

Neal- I will look when I pick her up Saturday. May be Sunday-Monday before I can get back to the computer though. Maybe Saturday night - but I am not going to make promises. Where am I supposed to look? (where is the aux-in jack?) Glovebox, secret compartment, or?

I've seen someone here mention that their car looked like it was on stilts when they picked it up but it settled down between 1/4-1/2". I don't know about lowering it; there are some really scarey roads around here and I don't want to go dragging the car a lot. Sheesh, with the roads here I should look for a lift kit! Kidding- no worries, not going to try that!

Mainly I want to do some motoring and let her tell me if I should do anything, and if so, what.

 

Congratulations! You get yours before me then. Who else is picking up Friday? Karthi? Are you Friday too? DoubleOh7, are you picking up on Thursday?

Sancochojoe- we want to know when you get to take delivery as well, even though you had to re-order. You started with us, and you are a part of our group, regardless.

This is my first post to this forum, I was on the Boheme too and will be picking my MCS (p/s black top, black sports stripes...) on Friday as well (if the snow hold off!!) I'm in upstate NY...Buffalo to be exact!

I think the AUX IN jack is down low -- below the center console switches. You may have to crane your neck to check it out. [edit:]Yep, it looks like it would be right below the passenger side window control. You can see it located on page 18 of the Entertainment manual that was linked in this post.

Thanks so much and bigtime congrats. I *almost* ordered from an East Coast dealership just so I could drive mine back to the West and save myself a couple of weeks of waiting. Seeing fellow wk 45'ers get theirs really makes me wish I did...

I just got a call. My car is at the dealer!! If I can swing it I am going to go pick it up tomorrow . If not I'll have to wait til Saturday I guess in reality either of those deserves a smiley but sooner is definitely better

I want it to snow here in NW CT for skiing... but then again, I want dry roads and blue skies. .. and no calcium chloride anti-icing on the roads!

Yup, I pick it up Friday ... got my rental car and bought a handful of new CDs for the ride there and back. I'll have to go back to get the JCW installed (due to a minor mixup, not a biggie) but it'll just make for another nice road trip!

Will post pix ... can't wait to see the others either.
