Awsome! Congrats. We will be leaving around 10:00am from Corning to pick mine (ours - according to my wife!) up. Haven't named it yet, will have to think about that on the way up. I'll post pics when we get back home.
Ray's a busy one this week - has a delivery in Schenenctady @ 8:00am, mine (ours) @ 1:00PM, and a delivery in Rochester @ 4:00pm.

Very nice! I almost went for the dark silver myself, but ended up going with the pure silver. Lots of idiots on the roads - luckily the mini is a smaller target! Last time I bought a brand new car was 1988 - TBird turbo coupe. Had it 10 months and I guy ran a red light - didn't total it, but wish he had. Hope I have better luck this time.

I may change out the run flats to regular ones eventually, but not for now ...

I was supposed to get the JCW Kit put in at the VDC but due to a mixup I have to go back to get it put in ... that's all for now but may do a little more work after it's broken in.

I picked up on Thursday evening and everything went well! I actually had to rush by MA through the stuff because I was ready to get her out on the road ... I'll figure out all that stuff later! My only complaint was that they didn't load the Nav software ahead of time so I couldn't play with it on the way home. There are also apparently a lot of funtions of the car that will come up on the Nav screen too that my MA told me about, but couldn't show me since it wasn't loaded. The finance guy wasn't too pushy on their extra coverages they try to sell ya, but I had to say no to several lowered prices for the tire coverage. Anyway, great experience overall!

A few pics added to my Gallery!

Picked up mine yesterday ... got lost on the way down and got to the dealership a few minutes after they closed. Whole process went smooth, like DoubleOh7, turned down the extra coverages as well, but the whole process went great. Got out the door in a couple hours, stopped at Chilis to get a bite to eat and made the trek back east.

So many neat little things about the car - it was so fun to drive and having the long drive back, it actually was alot quieter and smoother (except on the crappy roads) than I thought. What a blast to drive!!

I had forgot my camera but bought a disposable, so should have pics in the Gallery this week.

Here are a couple of pics. Got to Buffalo and no sooner than we walked into the showroom, and the snow hit, 50+ mile/hr. winds. Lights went out for a couple of seconds, but things settled down after we hit the road, but did have snow for about 1/2 the way home. Made it OK - had to give it a bath, of course.....

Whew- we are finally home! Minerva is in the driveway! We had a great drive home; took the old highways and had a really fun time bringing her home.

Hubby and I really had a good time on our MINI vacation, too. There were lots of people out today as the weather was stunning, and lots of them looked at the MINI- it was fun!

Aaaah, in the morning! She gave me a heart attack when we got home, sort of a very faint noise going after we had shut off, I posted a panicked "is this normal" thread and seems it must be the turbo being cooled. I'm a nervous new parent, gotta take good care of the baby!

Gotta feed dogs now, and put on shoes with no high heel...

Alright- it's morning!

So- Hubby and I took off Friday, picked up the rental, drove in to Little Rock, dropped his car in the security patroled carpark at his workplace, and off we went in the very un-MINI Chrysler 300!!!! So, we drove the monstrosity up to Memphis, found our hotel which was 1.6 miles from the dealership, got our stuff up to our room- we had a functional balcony! The room smelled GOOD!

We called and made reservations at Texas de Brazil- OH MY! If you are ever in Memphis, and you like meat- you gotta go! My favorites were all the steak things, Flank Steak, House Special Sirloin, Garlic Sirloin- Oh, and Lamb Chops! Soooooooooooo good!

Picked Minerva up Saturday morning. Everything went very smoothly, and off we went. There is Target Supercenter and a Walmart supercenter right next door to the dealership, so we popped in and got an atlas and some lip balm, and map in possession, took the old highway, hwy 70, into Little Rock. The car handles great, but it is so flat and straight that we haven't gotten into much of twisties to see what she can do. I am going to take her into Hot Springs tomorrow or Tuesday, through Magnet Cove, and then up both overlook mountains in Hot Springs.

Today it is raining, so she is tucked in warm and dry in the garage.

Oh - and she is such cop bait! Story later. I must be careful.

Congrats everyone! The adventure stories are already rolling in .... more pics please!

Mine has been in the USA going on 10 days today ... dealer has no idea when to expect it. He did say that the port will be doing all of the JCW stuff except for the shocks ... that includes painting the aero kit ... I thought that I was managing the wait alright ... but the anticipation is seeping in....

I picked up my car on Saturday night. I will post some photos as soon as I find the camera!

Two things happened on my trip to pick up the car. First, on the way back to the hotel from the dealership, the rear tow hook cover fell off. My wife was following me in the rental car and says that she thought she saw something fall off, but with all the road debris in south florida we just figured that it was something in the road. I called the dealer and they are going to replace it for me, after all it should have been on tight enough to not just come off by itself. The next day I stopped for a hamburger and my wife said... "it looks like there is a nail in your tire". Sure enough, with 50 miles and having turned down the tire coverage, there was a screw at the edge of the rear drivers side tire. I called the dealer again and they said to head over to the service dept and take a look at it. They pulled it out and it was a short screw not long enough to puncture the tire... I guess we got lucky!

Anyway, great cars everyone! I hope to see more photos.

My rear tow hook cover keeps coming off as well (is that the little plastic cover on the bumper?) ... I chalk it up to a production error ....

This is my front tow hook cover ...

If you can't tell from the picture, the cover is not smooth.
Dealer said this is what it is supposed to look like ... whatever ... I figured I would readjust it after I got her home, but haven't had time to play with it yet.
