Well guys I will start the week 45. I just called and I was told my car is week 45. I ordered 10/19 so I'm just as sad as the week 44 bunch.

So my car is just a drawing on a computer system somewhere.

Hey, at least I know where it stands. Heck, whats a month.

I sold my BMW to Carmax, so I will do without a car for 2 months and have fun driving my raised Jeep Wrangler.

 

Am I the only week 45 guy?

 

I think I am with you- just saw this thread. I need to call the number and ask- may not be today though, gads I have heaps to do! I'm sure you are not alone. I did just hear from MA, late Nov-early Dec is ETA for mine.

 

You're not alone. Ordered mine on 10/20, just called ASKMINI and I'm also week 45.

It's gonna be a long slow wait.

 

November 5 - 10th is it!

Should be a real sweetie of a car. I hope that she gets here before we have to put away our '75 Triumph TR6 for the winter. We took the Triumph (Luna) out on a local MINI run last weekend .. 20+ MINIs and the TR6 taking up the rear. What a blast!

I will probably pick up the iPod kit too and modify it like in my R53. I just need to make sure that it will mount the same way first.

My dealer said expect week 45 production to ship off sooner than we expect.
Don't know how much they know whats going on in England.

 

I expect a 15 december delivery here in houston....is earlier possible? Need to plan to have my other car gone...

 

I sold my BMW this past friday to Carmax. The dealer like usual would not give me what I wanted and Carmax gave me 4k more. I don't think Carmax would give me the same when my car comes in.
So I will be driving my jeep into December.

 

So what does he/she say the time line would be?

 

Actually, it's about $4k less than that before the Governor takes her share. We wanted the Works works, and I've been saving all of my side-job income for over a year now for her ... finally, it's time. Now I just have to wait a bit longer....

Another thing about the price ... in contrast to what some dealers will tell you ("MINI dealers don't compete, the prices are all about the same") ... it's not true. At all. We hit dealers in CT, NJ, NY, and MA until we found the best package price combined with the best MA.

 

She was vague. She didn't give an exact date.

No way. Week 45 is Nov 5 - 10. So how can it be complete on the 1st.??

 

You are correct....I just checked.
I got my VIN Number and they said the production started late last week and the car should be finished at the end of this week!!!!!
...and this is still for production week 45!
So cancel the Nov 5 - 10 date. Its earlier.

 

What does the OL status say? I just checked mine and it says "on order". I called ASKMINI and they said it was "being scheduled for production" but couldn't tell me when the production would start. When I asked a possible time frame he said some time in the next two weeks!!

I don't know who you talked to...Maybe you are not week 45. I got a VIN number also. Did you ask for a VIN number???
