New MINI Owner
just wanted to post that i will be picking up my first Mini tomorrow, i will be picking up a 02 Electric Blue/Black top Cooper S. i have been waiting to get a Mini for awhile, i will make sure once i get the few thing i want to do to it i will post some pics

after waiting as long as i have... plans tend to build up. i am a long time VW kid and had one Subaru (which i owned for 10 mnths and realized i need to go back to German cars) and now i am back but with the car i really wanted.

Come to either our Fall Foliage tour (and annual meeting) or the Gyminikhana! You'll really get to know the Mini well, and we've got dozens of folks signed up for each event.
Gyminikhana is at BeaveRun on Oct 26-27... and BeaveRun is only maybe 20 miles from the Ohio line! Gyminikhana is a combination driving, education, speed and social event. It involves cars, cones, a band, dinner, a wooden-mini race, a car show, a costume show... prizes... lots of stuff. Any questions PM me or hit the website above!

Well said. So many times, I've been greasy, mid project and posted a few things, searched and found the answer to complete my project. Lots of great info. You've got to love the MINI owners on this forum

My favorite old VW was similar, a 1991 GTI 2.0 16V built and competitive in the old SCCA SSB, with a techtonics-built motor, Gillett exhaust, Konis, 6 point rollcage, Quaife, etc. etc.
