hmmm... the captain may not have any jet propulsion paks, but what about all the turbo's? surely our mini's would be happy to pitch in! zoom zoom zoom!
i may completely lose my mind by the time my car gets here!!! must -- go --do -- stuff.
Yay! I finally found my fellow cruise/ship mates. Does anyone know how long it takes at the VDC once it arrives at Port Hueneme?
Just so you are prepared, once your Mini is at the VDC, it is like having it enter a dark hole. Sometimes the tracking of it becomes a real pain, other times it zips right thru.
But "usually" for us owners in the bay area it is a 5 - 10 day delivery time to the dealer. Time at the VDC can vary depending on if you have dealer add on options that need to be installed, the back log of BMW's and any thing else that can delay your Mini leaving the VDC.
Also the OL can be really useless, it shows an estimated delivery date and that is all it is, just an estimate, it can change and be sooner or later. Mine is still showing a delivery of the15th and at the VDC, and we have had Skeeter since the 14th. Best advice is to keep checking with your MA, they will have more current info than OL usually. But the wait from VDC seems like forever since your Mini is so close to home, so hang in and before you know it you will be motoring down the road and all the waiting will have been well worth it.
Too long bobobot! :D I can't remember if there is a way to track if/when the vehicle leaves the VDC - guess I'll need to start searching for that soon, so I can help my DH figure out when to put our WRX on the market.
Friends - I think they've stopped over for an extra long rum run. Or, -it's possible Mr. Boheme has been overrun by pirates. Awaiting news....
I've been worried that Mr. Boheme has not heeded the warning from the Captain of the TAGUS and has been reporting his whereabouts on a regular basis. I was delighted of course for such tracking but now I wonder about the wisdom of it and the rest of the story... I hope our babies won't learn what happened next... (for those who haven't followed - check out the first 3 chapters of the story in the TAGUS thread)
BTW - thanks everyone for holding down the fort. The good thing about having a ton of things going on is that the 10th (or more importantly that date in late Sept when I will meet my child) will come somewhat sooner.
WooHoo, my JCW steering wheel arrived today!! Now I have my new steering wheel and powder coated rims... hmmm, seems kinda foolish having this stuff and no Mini to put them in. More rum!!!

Sailwx.info is not showing updates since it came back up from bring down a day or so ago.
OceanWeather.com has an update from the BOHEME from late last night that shows it left the Azores, but nothing current. (If you run the java loop you see it for two updates, but the BOHEME is missing in the latest view.)
Thanks for the updates guys! I was only looking at sailwx and was starting to worry our captain had found himself some sweetie pie on one of the islands and we'd NEVER see our mini's. Very reassuring to hear he left the islands and is continuing the trip! Are we about halfway to the canal now?
Hes still movin. Looks lik only about 400 miles per day though. I'll bet the minis are gettin antys by moving that slow for that long. I hope he's at least doin some twisties to keep em happy.
