im picking my car today at 3 at niello.

 

I've had her for a day, now. The throaty rumble of the exhaust, the new car smell of the malt brown leather, the quirky multitude of buttons, the roundness of her body, the openness of the cabin, the way she chews up turns… you all are in for a great experience. Best gift I've ever given myself. mcsc ppw Sidewalk. Congrats to us all! Soak it up.

 

Shaalan, that last post wasn't fair. I don't get to enjoy those things for another two or three days!! But congrats and have you posted pics yet? Congrats xcoop and sirr6 post pics asap you fools!!

 

Holls- I am probably getting mine on monday or tuesday. I will post pics as soon as I get it. Congrats and maybe I'll see your baby while I'm there, what are the stats again?

 

Well, we went to pay for the car and sign the paperwork today. Unfortunately, the car did not show up yesterday, so instead the dealership will bring the car to us on Monday evening... while I'm on a business trip through Saturday. Argh!

 

On a side note, Why do they have that awwful ship on the ol tracking? The Boheme would have looked so much better.

We were the dealer's first appoinment this morning. I don't want to go to work tomorrow, but I am looking forward to the 40 mile drive.

 

The Ol changed my date to today. We have blue laws in colorado so Schomp was closed, but I went down anyway to see if I could find my car. Nowhere to be seen. This wait is killing me.

 

Hang in there, Chur! It is worth waiting for!

 

Congrats to those who got their cars already!! I will be getting mine either tomorrow or tuesday! And yes I haven't ever been so excited about getting a car.

Carolyn...it was a blast meeting you on Saturday. I'm glad you were introduced to so many folks in West Coast MINI...and saw how we celebrate the birth/delivery of new MINIs. Look forward to seeing you at the Ralley....and I hope time zoooooms by and you see your MINI delivered this week.

Master - so excited for this afternoon! In fact.......I think in Utah it is currently T-1 minute! w00t! Yes, please look for mine (I realize you won't have gotten this note in time)...it is Li/B, no stripes.

We need pics when you get back home....after a long drive.

 

no Mini 4 me for probably another week :(.. stuck at the VDC waiting for them to start/finish the aerokit. The good part is that I get to read all these posts and how excited everyone is. Pretty good times for all of us. The stupid part for me is I already had my new tires shipped from Tirerack to the install place, so they will gather dust for a week. I wana see more pics from you guys!!! Woohoo!!

SWEET!! That is all I can say. I will post pics by afternoon tomorrow. I got the car and then it was getting too dark for pics....at least initial pics. The first pics will be in the sunlight, and then some sweet night shots to come. Keeping it under 3500 RPMs is kind of a struggle, because my baby just wants too run!! Picked up with 9 miles and now has 54 miles, only 1146 left until play time!

P.S. Anybody have ideas on a name for my Astro Black with white roof baby?
