Will post these, but smaine has about the same pics. Seems Tagus is anchored in Gatun Lake, usually the WW ships proceed directly thru the locks, guess your Mini's wanted to enjoy the area for a while.
Tharkun - Any tricks you have, please share, please! Oh pretty please!!
Depending on what speed the Captain uses and the traffic it could take from 4 to 5 hours to finish the passage.
The Miraflores lock cam has changed angles again, at the present time the cam angle is only showing the Pedro Miguel lock, in the distance you can see the Centennial Bridge.
If you keep checking AIS you can see which ships and how many are ahead of Tagus. Keep checking the cams for the locks and the bridge and you will get an idea of how long times are taking.
You will be able to watch Tagus pass under the bridge and once she is out of view, goto the lock cam, you will see her before her arrivial to Pedro Miguel. At this point it will take a while and unless the cam changes view angle, you will not see her pass the Miraflores lock and enter the Pacific Ocean side.
Tharkun, thanks for all your help on this. Have you ever tried to get them to change the angle of the camera on the Miraflores lock? I was thinking of emailing them...

Glad to help and hope you all get some good pics.
Never tried it, but "usually" in late afternoon they change it back so one has a view of both loocks. But it looks like Tagus will be passing thru the locks about the same time Tarifa and the sun caused problems with pics. But looks like today its not a bright sunny day, so you should do okay with pics.
Here is what you should be able to catch on the cams:
In the distance you can see Tarifa on the right side of the Pedro Miguel lock.
Good luck on the tracking and if I'm around and catch something first, will post so ya all know.
I hope this pastes ok. . . from the ais live site. . .you can see Tagus in the upper section!
If you look on that map and find the "Star Hoyanger",(two ships ahead of Tagus) when Tagus is about that location, start checking the Centennial bridge cam. Usually with the time delay on the maps, she will be that much ahead of the map.

Cool! Will do! Boy am I glad I'm still on summer vacation
Lucky for me, my Wilhelmina was on the same ship as Tharkun's Skeeter...he was a great guide! Glad to see he's helping you all through your wait as well.

I retired early and have two roomies, one a Unix system admin, other a programmer. So the puters are an expensive necessity, they are times I want to toss them all out. Especially with the structured PG&E electric system, cost a small fortune, three need to be on 24/7.
