Yes it was sad. Poor pooch I think he just wanted to play - he was definitely headed for the car... but BlueBelle is not as soft and cuddly as she looks. I've seen Horses, Cows, Deer, Elk, etc in the middle of the night so I'm fairly used to making a quick stop - but there was no escaping this guy .

One thing my daddy taught me was to never swerve. When you're traveling at highway speeds that can be fatal. I don't think I could if I wanted to now. I brake hard and hang on when I see an animal trying to cross in front of me. Your comprehensive will cover if you hit the animal but not so if you hit a tree I understand.

RJ sorry your not feeling well - at least your not wasting a good day on the illness.

My sympathies are with the dog owners. Let's hope the other one gets tethered and not allowed to do the same thing.

My thoughts are with you and Bluebell. Here's to a speedy recovery from the bumb and from the trama. My biggest hope is that you solve the CEL issue and you have smooth motoring soon.

Frodo got his bath; one he needed for a long time. The Prima Epic sure has done a great job over the winter. I am impressed. I can run my hand over the newly washed surface and know he needs a clay job pretty bad. The detailer takes the contaminates off pretty well, but I only do it for the ones I can see.

I can't wait for the SOLO II driving school event. May 2nd should scrub off some tire tread... It will move me closer to new wheels and non-runflats.

Thanks Mini2na and Minicounter!! I've been able to be more mobile today, doing Laundry and watching Golf...gettin' the itch!!! Hubby has been waiting on me hand and foot...Poor Guy...NOT!!! On the down side, no Sickey Day tomorrow...since I was gone those 5 days, I don't dare take any more time off, until Molly's Appointment on the 17th.

I also have the MFS CC, but only use it for Gas and Molly Necessaties, not raking up to many points, but this trip helped some. Molly's Side Scuttles will rack up some points as well, nothing to write home about, but happy I have the card, if for nothing else I get to carry around a pic. of Molly where ever I go!!

Well, we are going into another weekend, and lo and behold, the Pacific Northwest might have sunshine!!!!! OMG!

Anyone have any motoring plans? Kermit is getting a bath today, so that he might shine appropriately in the highly anticipated sunshine.

70 degrees and sun!!!! A bath this evening (for the Subaru too). I will marvel at the staying power of Prima Epic again. Don't know where I will head, but Frodo, the wife and I will head someplace. Have FUN Kimberely.

Nice drive to the beach earlier this week on spring break, but boy was the weather awful.

RJ - hope your are completely recovered.
Minicounter - hope Bluebell has completed her face lift.
Scoopmama - hope all is well.

Still feeling rather Crummy Mini2na, but thanks for being concerned.
You and the Wife go off an enjoy your jaunt this weekend the weather should be beautiful.

Depending on how I feel I'd like to go out and hit some ***** with Hubby this weekend. Still working on Spring Cleaning Projects around the house, Days 2 & 3 of our Office Party (cleaning out office).

Our Front Yard has been Thatced, Aerated, and Seeded so no hoses across the grass for washing, guess Molly will have to go to the DIY CarWash again.

So this beautiful day I did some driving of a different kind! One thing I said I wanted to do for my birthday...

I drove a stock race car around a track. I'm sure I drove like a grandma... First time driving the car and in all the get-up you need to put on!

It was definitely an experience

I have an opportunity it race it - don't know if I will... It's different being in the car. Maybe I would get used to it and feel a little more comfortable. I remember when I test drove a MINI - I was pretty cautious.

We'll see....

Hubby is all hot to get a stock regular cooper to run. (Cant run turbo's or supercharged cars in this kind of race) Problem is - neither of us know how to work on a car and I think you would end of doing a lot of that if you raced. Other small problem is that our money tree hasn't started to produce yet

So now I'm back to taxes

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Well.... hubby said his batteries ran out on the camera so I don't know if he got one or not. If I do give a race a shot it will be the Sat after the 15th so maybe I'll be in shape to run it a little harder... And I will have the folks there who will take pictures of grass growing

BTW I am extremely jealous of your driving school opportunity. I would really like to have someone with me to show me what I am doing wrong (and maybe even right). I will be very very interested to hear how it goes. The car I was in didn't have another seat in it for an instructor

Some of the scary part was not having watched enough formal racing to know what to expect and what they want me to do. What the protocol is for passing, etc...

Glad you are able to get back to detailing. Alas poor BlueBelle is still a mess. Waiting on parts... She is also back to stock on the intake. I don't have time to mess with ALTA yet on it - my follow up call didn't turn out so well - so I'll tackle that one after the 15th (along with a zillion other things )

Wow. Busy board lately!

Minicounter-sorry to hear about Bluebelle and the dogs. Are you going to get the same matte black or go with blue fenders? I've seen both in photos. Totally different looks!

RJ- Hope you are feeling better, and can get out and about with Molly!

Mini2Na- Hope the business is going well, and your driving age daughters are keeping their grubby hands off of Frodo!

I finally accumulated enough points to cash in for a 100.00 credit for Scoop. Hmmm. . . so many choices! I'll just have to go shopping in a week or so! Side scuttles, just 'cause I love the name "scuttles". Maybe a Union Jack? Maybe a hoodie for me? It will be fun! Put one son's year of after school care, and the other son's trip to Washington DC last year on the card. That really helped rack up points!

Had some nice drives locally this week, but there has been a chilly rainy storm hovering over us for most of the days of vacation. Brrr. Nowhere near the '70's.

Have a great Easter!

Ok...only locals would understand street names, but this is a Funny Story that happened to my Husband and I yesterday while running our errands.

We were driving along on a nice mostly cloudy day, we are going from Joe's to Winco driving along Mill Plain, we stopped at a light a few cars back in line. We have the Sunroof Vented and Hubby has his window down. This Guy in a Blue Mini Van pulls up along side us and he sort of yells...
"HI MISS MOLLY!!"

We both wave and smile...I tell Hubby that was nice and something that I will have to share with my NAM Friends!!

What have you thought about?? Your Friends here can help. Have you gone to the WA Licensing website and entered your choices to make sure one is available??

I thought 1FNFRODO would be a good one, but it's 8 Letters.

I went to the WA DOL site when I got Frodo.... 8 letter possibilities are endless. The one I would take would be 2NASMINI....... but I'm not sure if I ever checked my screen name here... MINI2NA. I'll have to go back on today and restart a search.

The weather forcasters are hoping for 70 degrees by next weekend.

Nice to hear from you Scoopmama. The job progress is slow, but have never had a week without some work. My bottom line has followed the general economy. In the three quarters I've been in business, my earnings have actually fallen each time. I'm not ready to give up. I love the work that I do. I'm not sure I listed it here, but I have an initial website up at:

http://anythinggoesservices.com

Enjoy the week everyone... and to those involved with taxes, the end is in sight!!!

Taxes....at least I don't do income taxes, except my own. All other taxes? I do lots of those. Our company's year end is in a little over two weeks - and then the fun begins. Aah well. It's a job.

Goodness 2NA you do all manner of work don't you? You have everything listed on your site except baking birthday cakes. Awesome. I am glad that you are still getting work. It is a tough time out there.

Last weekend with all the sun, I did no motoring - I was in the garden. If there is sun next weekend, perhaps I will have some Kermie time. He needs a bath - again.

MS Molly - My neighbor keeps talking about you. She sees you all of the time and reports it to me nearly everytime. I shocked her when I told her that I knew who you were. She just loves the MINIs.

Kimberely PM sent!!

After the heavy rain, hail and wind we had today the clearing that looks like is on the way is a much needed "Pick Me Up!!"

Molly may have to be away from home over the Weekend, however.
She has her check-up on Friday and will have the Annual Maintenance done as well as the 'being able to be shut off while in gear' fixed, the Passenger Window Gremlin fixed, the British Flag Side Scuttles installed, the Tires Balanced and Rotated, the Wipers Replaced...I might be missing something, but I think that's it. We are dropping her off early so hopefully they can get everything done by the end of the day.

RJ - 2 things:
1. I'm ready when you are.
2. How do you like your Light In Sight? Did you get it to stick, does it help with craneing your neck and does it look OK from inside and out?

80 degrees by Monday in the NW??????

Mini2na...on 1) will be working on getting the $$ here soon.

on 2) It works AMAZING!! I think I may have even placed it a bit high, but all I have to do is peal it off and re-attach it, it's that easy.
You don't have one YET??!!

It's as I said...Molly was not able to come home today. Rasmussen MINI was VERY Busy Today and had several "outoftowners" with Waiters and Molly was not even started on until about 3 this afternoon, we dropped her off at about 9am this morning.

How am I supposed to Celebrate our 1st Delivery Anniversary on Sunday without MOLLY??!!

Kimberely if you are attending Tomorrow's Ladies Only (sorry Guys) Golf Clinic I will be driving my Husband's Black Dodge Durango.

BTW...no offense Mini2na...we got an '08 CR/W MCS as a Loaner...I WANT MY MOLLY BACK!!

Ok...well Hubby seems to like it, but it's a Manual Transmission and not that I can't drive a Manual...I just don't like to. I may have to test drive it around the block though...an S is what I've been wanting Hubby to get for his next car...we're thinking Clubman, but he's seems to be enjoying the loaner so far. We've spent the day in it romping around town shopping, even a trip down to Woodburn Today.

RJ = Molly knows she is cared for. You've taken her to the spa for some extra special service.

I think I've had that MCS as a loaner. Nice car as I remember. Take the time to drive it on the highway. Lots of power. It will NOT make you forget Molly, but it will give you some informed experience in an "S".

I'm going outside now to wash Frodo before it gets too sunny and my hard water dries on my black roof.

Have fun at golf girls.....

Mini2na have you had issues with Frodo's Sunroof?? The MCS loaner's Sunroof would not open yesterday in the Mid 60 deg. temps. we had. Hubby is NOT happy!!

I was hoping that driving an MCS would get him thinking about an MCSC as our next car...oh well, I think that issue is going to be a mute point now!!
