Well I got the Labor Costs, added everything up $302!! So now I have to decide...either the Chrome Line Exterior or a Roof Rack??!! The Roof Rack is $350 installed and I will need 2 of the Bike Carriers @ $141 ea., but being practical it seems that the Roof Rack should come 1st...what do you all think??

I hate it whan I have more wants than $$!!

Mini2na when you decide on tires let me know. I'm hoping I can hold out 'til October, it will depend on how the RFs wear from this point on. I'll be getting All-Season or M&S (dedicated Winter Tires; required on the Mountain Passes; Like the Siskyous)...not sure yet. I'm still researching too, if I find anything interesting I'll let you know.

Friday is only 3 Days away!! Sorry ScoopMama I just couldn't resist!!

Roof rack! IMHO unless...... you could install the chrome pieces yourself.

I may get my new wheels and change the run-flats over to them to wear them out. I've still got quite a few miles left on them. If I were to buy All-Season's today, I'd get the Bridgestone Potenza RE-960 AS Pole Position's. 163/tire through local Firestone dealer. TireRack and others offer it for less, but with shipping the price differences is only a few bucks.

Roof Rack it is Mini2na...coming Next Month!! I've already talked to the Dealer about the installation of both Chrome pieces, the Front Bumper needs to be removed for installation??!! I can wait on the Bike Attachments until July that's when I'm planning on getting a Mountain Hardtail Bike, if funds are available of course.

I've decided on my Winter Tires too. Molly will be wearing Goodyear Eagle Ultr Grp GW3's come October. They are rated Performance Winter and have the M&S Symbol which means they are legal for use when the Law Requires Chains or Traction Tires!!

Then when Summer rolls around I'd really like to get the Yokohama S-Drives, unless I find something better. New wheels to come too, I'm playing with a few options so nothing definite just yet, but I'll keep you updated.

Have you played with the TireRack.com Wheel Configurator yet?? You can see what a particular Wheel will look like on your car, they even have the OB2 Color. Even if you don't buy from them you will have an idea of what will look good on Frodo when it's time to get your wheels!!

Looking forward to my 2nd to last Golf Clinic Class, so I can give Molly some much needed attention!!

It looks like the Konig Britelites have been discontinued. I am leaning towards the 17X7 ET 45 Team Dynamic 1.2 Gloss Black w/Machined rim. OutMotoring is the supplier.

A mountain bike? That is my life-long passion. I've lead a couple long tour trips for BikeCentennial a (large) number of year's back. I mostly do road/groomed trail riding now. Hard tail is the way to go, but get front shocks for sure. I have also become sold on disc brakes.

It's sunny today in NW. Enjoy!

Happy Mother's Day from Frodo and I. I hope Molly, Kermit and Scoop treat you well on your special day.

I'm looking at a Trek 6700 it's got both Front Suspession and Disc Brakes, I'm wanting something that I can ride both Road and Trail in comfort, I think I've made a good choice!! I've had some mods done to my Cannondale to make it more enjoyable to ride. Being 'old' and getting back on a bike is a bit unnerving at times!! Hubby and I would love to take a trip to Moab and ride, don't know if we'll ever get there though.

Hubby saw an Orthopedic Surgeon yesterday for his right knee, thankfully surgery it not required...yet, but he is going to have to have the injections that replace the cushion that is missing in his knee. Surgery is a last resort and hopefully a ways off. So if I can get him to be more active, like Riding, and Golfing, I think it might help him and I get a little more fit!!

The Sun has graced the PNW Today...It will be a GREAT Day!!

We also have a sunny weekend here in So Cal!
Scoop is going to have a lovely spin up to my mom's for a double Mother's Day Wheee~

RJ- I hear you about the mountain bikes! Hubby and I used to ride all the time in college- I got my first car when I was 25, and rode everywhere before that! Now I wobble around turns on the occasional ride, praying I don't fall off and break something! So sad. Mini2Na-that is so cool that you lead bike groups! It sounds like a roof rack may in in Frodo's future as well?

Happy motoring, all!

I'm kinda obessed with Autocrossing right now. I do biking also, but have taken the truck so far when we go to a start point. If we ever do a driving vacation, a roof rack will be a part of it.

Saddle time is the only way you feel more confident on a bike. The harder thing is putting aside your fear of falling. Over correction is the death of you. The bike wants to go where you lean. Let it, then correct quickly and lightly with the bars. A bike is sooooo much fun!

Happy Mother's Day to Scoop, ScoopsMom and Mrs.Mini2na, and Kimberely where ever she is!!

I'm keeping my Cannondale at work right now, I've been on it once so far, but I work in an Industrial Area which means Train Tracks, the first time I went over them I was terrified I'd fall, but since I didn't I grew a little more confident. Hence the need/want for a Mountain Hardtail, comfortable to ride and Friends of Train Tracks!!

I'm gonna' go out and start on Molly's Interior Detailing, I'll be spending quite a bit of quality time with Molly tomorrow too!!

I thought my baby was potty trained! Yesterday there was a silver-dollar sized engine oil drip under Scoop! Have to take her in for a check up. At 5600 miles she shouldn't be suffering from incontinence.

On a brighter note, literally, my MINI bag arrived. As soon as I charge up the camera batteries, I'll get a few photos posted!

Guys... sorry to be so touchy the other day... It was one of those days... I really do enjoy and value 'talking' with you all (or sometimes just lurking) and sharing good and sad...

Speaking of ... Scoopmama - your poor little Scoop is way too young to be having those kind of problems - I hope the Dr finds what ails her.

We are headed to Seattle tomorrow for the week so we will wave as we pass you northerners. Mostly for work but we will sneak in some visiting as well.

Good news, good news, ummmm... it's supposed to hit 85 degrees in the PNW on Sunday!

Here's to an easy diagnosis and cure Scoopmama.
Here's to a safe trip Minicounter.
Here's to a dustfree interior RJ.
Here's to you Kimberely.
Here's thinking about Frodo. He's in for the cold start chatter fix. Should be in for about a week. (I have an '08 S convertible loaner.)

It looks like Konig's out, either the Britelites or Feathers. The ET is 40 on both, which is more than 6mm off stock (ET 48) and would push me out of stock class. The both work well on the MINI though. It looks like I'll get the Team Dynamic 1.2s Gloss Black w/polished rim. http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...ished-lip.html I guess making a decision is good news too. Now for the tire decision.....

Work is picking back up as the spring really settles in. This is really GOOD news!!!!!

Those are some nice looking rims I didn't realize that the wheels would move you to a different class...

Do you have the red cabrio? Hope you have some sun to enjoy it.

Every time I go up I try to get Jarid to loan me his GP. I'm sure that supercharger would blow our S's out of the water! For some reason he just laughs at me

The saga continues. Got a call Wednesday from the dealer who told me that Frodo was not making the cold start chatter noise! I took back the cabrio (right before the best weekend of the year) and now have my baby back.

Soooo... I get back home. Let him cool down a bit (me too) and start him up and guess what? The chatter was back!!!!!! I can't believe it. I guess when the first major maintenance come up this summer I'll bend over backwards one day to recreate the conditions for the noise as I bring it to them.

Team Dynamic 1.2 wheels are on order. I just have to decide if I can ditch the run-flats before they are used up.... The SOLO II event in Packwood, WA on 6/13-14 should go aways toward chewing them up.

Have fun this weekend. Get outside and enjoy.

Sucks that they let you drive all the way home and did not fix the issue that you had originally gone in for, what was ther excuse?? What SA were you dealing with?? Folllow-up ASAP and let them know you are not happy.

Ok Mini2na you can't say something has been "ordered" and not entertain us with a pic., you just CAN'T!!

The more I test Molly's limits (did I say that??!!) I'm wondering if a Track Day might be a whole lot of FUN!! Geeezzzz....Mini2na...L@@K what you've done!!!

A Sunny Weekend in the PNW, a Golf Game (9-Holes anyway), getting outside for some Sun & Fun, and some quality time with my Molly...what more could one ask for??!!
