You'll like a Laurel. We stayed in one last year and though it had lots of steps and a small kitchen, it was pretty nice -- plus you'll have the extra bedroom.

Can't wait to see you there.

If you haven't been yet, do consider what you are going to do about food. There is a little grocery store onsite at Fontana Village but it closes EARLY, and the next closest food would be to drive to Robbinsville. I've been happy with my rooms so far at Fontanna Village, one had a full kitchen and the other a small fridge - perfect for those late night snacks when the candy machines are inevitably empty.

Or one can catch the spiders and just eat those....

I'll call and reserve my room tomorrow...

I stayed in an Inn room last year and food was not much of a problem, because 2 out of the 3 nights there were organized dinner events (I'll bet there will be all 3 nights this year!), and there is a restaurant in the Inn that serves a decent breakfast. Don't worry about lunch because you'll be out on the road motoring! The hot dogs at the Crossroads of Time can't be beat between your Dragon runs.

Pets are allowed in the cabins, but not in the Inn rooms.

Yes, I will admit that there are a few spiders about -- but I remember Charolette and she was a friendly spider; so all is good.

I prefer having a kitchen -- only really because I like to get my breakfast in my PJs. However, the Peppercorn is a decent eating local. Mark is correct, there will be planned dinner celebrations all 3 nights. Yes, Ingles is in Robbinsville -- yet another fun place to drive to. My parents are joining us to help watch the boy -- YIPPIE.

Lois: The Party Cabin??? Hmmm....what happens in the party cabin stays in the party cabin.....right??

Neko: The cabins and the Inn are fairly close to each other. Would I say all of Fontana is within Walking Distance?? uh....NO (unless you walk ALOT). However, who wants to walk to the start of a drive? Frankly, the Inn has its advantages, like maid service and more of a hotel like life. The cabins have their advantages, like a kitchen, a little more room and that amazing summer camp for adults feeling. We chose the cabin, because of the boy and our need to put a door between us at night. But we stayed at the Inn in our last trip up there and enjoyed that room completely.

Hope this helps....and Hugs,
PB

 Hiya Newbs,

Sometime this Fall, Mark Ferguson will provide NAM with a *MOTD-2005 forum, and the schedule of events and ticket-purchasing/entering info will be included. I'm not sure exactly when that will be up and running. Babsie? You know yet?

For whatever reason, NAM has decided I can't PM....so let me explain as best I can now.

Currently there is only a tentative list of events. I've been working very hard to get things pulled together and moving along; however, I can't tell you many of the details, because they aren't hammered out yet.

Here's what is definite:
Dates: May 5th through the 9th
Where: Center of activity is the Fontana, but the reason we are there is the Dragon.
Events as of now:
Dinners: 3 nights of dinners planned
Runs: There will be some
Things not behind the wheel: There will be some, as of now there is interest in a horseback ride and a paintball war.
Will there be fun? YES.

Does this help?

There will be more information coming out as things are firmed up; so keep checking back.

Hugs,
PB

Tix will probably be sold for the Welcome dinner on Thurs, and the Farewell dinner on Sat for starters.

There may be other events that may require a charge of some sort as well.

1MiniGrl,
The Spidey Senses are a last minute phenomenon

And I haven't been invited to any policeman's *****
... that can so easily be misinterpreted.

I need to borrow that PS2 game to practice those Italian Job moves, got 8 months to hone those skills for the Dragon.

Somebody bring a thesaurus this time to the Midnight Run. Gotta get more creative with their sign.
