Helix | Spring Intercooler Group Buy
Looks great. I won't get mine until May or so. I'll have to do mine at this guys shop probably. I'm having a problem jacking up my MCS without the whole car coming off the ground. That and my driveway isn't level and has that aggregate which makes a slightly less stable platform. Did you really need to remove the wheels to get at the wheel well stuff?
I got mine installed today in about 4 hours, though that included a trip to the hardware store for some hose clamps. Also replaced the hot side muffler with an aluminum heat sink that I read about in the previous group buy thread. No fitment issues on the countryman. I'll post a pic after I get them off my camera.

I put the car on some ramps, and I had to turn the the wheels side to side to get everything.
BTW, I ordered some clips as suggested earlier in the thread (p8). Not only did I not break any clips, the clips suggested didn't match any of the clips I saw. I just put the four black rivet clips in the liners on each side, and clid the liners back in place around the arch. It was suggested to get the M clips, but the liners were put on with "I" clips. What are those "M" clips for?

. I didn't realize they changed the design that much. Does air get under there ok?
That's the Countryman for you. As for whether air gets under there, there's a lot of discussion in this thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-r56-fmic.html
Short answer: kinda.

Discharge & Intake Pipes
Fellow FMIC group buyers (and all FMIC modders for that matter) What if any mods did you / or will you add to this install... ie. Discharge Pipe, Resonator Delete Hose, Intercooler Charge Pipe, Hot Side Boost Tube, Powder Coating or anything else or by any other name.
Look for the post by Bschuh66 around Sep 2011 for the part link. There are also pics later on from someone that installed it. Look for user Lazlo10S. I'm planning to post a write-up in the countryman section soon, so I'll post a link to that when I get around to it.

I read about it in this thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...er-delete.html

So is this what you're going with?

Seems like a benefit could be had at a rather inexpensive price

I was looking at this whole set:

In part for the look but also for the possible benefits too...maybe I'll combine the two
Yeah, that's the one. I doubt it can really cool that much over 9 inches or whatever, but I was planning to get rid of the muffler and it can't hurt. I looked at various full tubes, but I don't think the oem ones are that bad. It's a fairly cheap solution.

It was definitely a PITA on ramps because I couldn't turn the wheels easily. My hands sure hurt afterwards!
Yeah mine did the first time taking the liner clips/screws off, buying a set of Mechanics gloves has been a knuckle, and nail saver!
I had to take the gloves off to fit my hands up there. Also needed my fingers to feel the screws. I think the worse part was getting the nuts off and back on those side markers. Couldn't use gloves there either 'cause I had to tighten them with my fingers!
That was the estimate given to me by Helix. We'll see what happens.
Here's how I got around that, got gloves that a size small, they fit nice and snug, and....

Got mine installed, w00t. Didn't break any clips, bumper was pretty easy to remove.

You can BARELY see it through the JCW bumper grille. Think it's time to replace that. Any suggestions on a nice lower grille for the JCW kit? only one I've seen is the m7 one.
