Did you also paint your headlight washers? They're yellow in one pic and black in another.

 

I actually vinyl wrapped them. I purchased the black headlight rings, and vinyl wrapped the washer caps. And they ended up matching perfectly.

I wrapped the hood scoop as well, but need to re do it as soon as I get some more vinyl.

 

Hey Helix, got a newer ETA for us waiting on the 2nd round of the group buy?

I emailed them a few weeks back with no response so if you get a hold of them, it would be nice to get an update for everyone waiting for the 2nd batch. :smile:

 

We are still on schedule. We anticipate getting them here next week for finishing work. It may be a stretch to get them out immediately because of the Dragon, but we'll get to work as soon as they arrive.

I installed the Alta. Seems to work fine even if it attracts dust.

 

I went with the Alta. I wanted a one-piece, silicone hose. That, and I wanted to keep the cost of the intercooler purchase and boost tube as close to $700 (combined) as possible. So far, so good...no complaints at all.

 

If someone is still looking for one of these, PM me. Sold my MCS JCW so I put back to stock. $500 plus shipping used for about 2500 miles, clean.

 

Has anyone heard anything from Helix? I have emailed twice but no reply.

 

Not since their last post on 4/16

 

On the 16th they were expecting their next batch in a week, that would mean the 23rd, then they had to polish them up and pack them for shipment, that would add several more days, plus they were getting ready for the Dragon, which is where they are now, they just did some coding on my friends Countryman today, so it seems their plate is not just full but overflowing. And I can tell you the wait is well worth it, you won't be disappointed! I know I wasn't, rather we are quite happy with the results!

Thanks, I knew they were busy. Was just wondering . . . And getting anxious!
I picked up a hot side boost tube to go with the ic.
Also just put on new tires and will be installing a rear sway bar this weekend.

 

We're down at the Tail of the Dragon and have limited connectivity here. We'll be back in the shop on the 8th. I have been able to get emails sporadically and have responded to all emails up to this morning. Nobody has emailed me twice without my response.

We have the coolers and will be finish working them next week and expect to start shipping them at the end of next week. I'll update this thread when I return.

 

Correction- emailed about a month ago and then again a couple of days ago and didn't receive a reply to either. Maybe they didn't go through. Both were sent as replies to the last email from Helix when I paid the deposit.

Just an update for everyone else waiting: I just called up Helix and was told the 2nd batch might be shipping as early as today or Monday. Either way, it's something good this way comes.
