WOW! Thank you Detroit Tuned

Ok, I know that is not the best title but I installed the Detroit Tuned BBK yesterday/last night. I have a little mechanical ability but not much. I decided to work from home and started the install around 10:30 and finished around 2 AM. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE KIT! Like I said I was working from home so had a ton of interuptions and calls... not to mention I needed to run out for some additional parts... again THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE KIT.... I discovered that the kit does not work with the Flik Wasps without a spacer.... oh and it was our anniversary so we had a 4 hour interuption for dinner.

So, in a nutshell the install was fairly easy and even easier with the Motive Power Brake bleeder.

Now for the wow part! I set the pads last night (notice the time I finished so the roads were empty) and wow can that kit stop the car. I initially became interested in the kit b/c my wife has the JCW brakes on her car and I liked them....but the JCW kit has nothing on the D.T. Kit!

What a good kit and a great deal for the $

Yes the 17... I was disappointed that the kit does not fit on the Fliks without a spacer... honestly I only needed 3 mm of space..

LOL, no I need to order spacers that work. The PB ones do not center well and I needed Hubcentric Rings for the wheels... so I think I will just order the H&R from Pilo... I need only a small amount of clearance but I like the fact that the H&R have the centric part...

i got the 5 mm H&R spacers from ProMini... I did a quick search and the 3 mm did not have the exact bolt pattern... before I get flamed, I am on a tight timeline (want the spacers before the dragon) and had only my lunch hour... cough cough, I am in management so I only had 15 minutes... to find and order the spacers so I can get them soon.

I was wondering how good that kit was... They're quite moderately priced as well.

I guess even if GM and Ford aren't making the best products in Detroit at least someone is!

I've had over 40 track days on these and you can't beat them for the price.
Plus pads are cheap $44 - 50 for HP+ or track pads if you know where to get them. Great setup from DT.
