Team Dynamics Pro Race 1 or 1.2

Hi everyone,
I'm choosing between pro race 1 and pro race 1.2. Just wanted to get your opinions on these 2 wheels. Can you please let me know the difference in looks.

thanks.

i went to buy some pro 1s 3 weeks ago and the US distributors said they were no longer getting any as they are being replaced by 1.2s,which is what i ended up with.so i think your choice has been made for you!very happy with them .

Not sure why they redesigned the PR-1s but terminating the new spokes before the rim makes the wheel look smaller...But, some like it that way...I think it still looks great

I just got some Pro Race 1.2's from Outmotoring, but it was kind of a fluke to actually get them. From the sounds of it, all the cool colors (black, anthracite) would be out of stock until the next shipment from the UK. And we all know how long things take to get shipped from the UK to the US

As far as the redesign goes, MISFITOY is completely correct about the redesign, and the 1.2's looking smaller. I was really hoping to get some PR1's, as they do look bigger. My 1.2's definitely don't look quite as cool, even all black. Maybe I've just been drooling over a certain silver Cooper S with black PR1's for too long though...

From what I heard through the grapevine, the issue was that the Pro Race 1's can cut tires during wheel-to-wheel action - so, they redesigned the spokes a bit...

...I can see this happening with some offsets. But my 45mm offset places the wheel inside the fender by a fairly good margin.

Still, all those spokes spinning about outside the wheel/tire face must create some additional aerdynamic drag.

Sid, our cars must look very similar; pure silver, black Pro 1s and Megans???

You get the prize for being the first to notice since I've had these on for over a year now Yes..."sharp eyed one"...I had the decals made to fit the inside of the hub and so far they've held up through 1.23 million hand washes

out motoring had the 16"s on their site... not sure if they still had them in stock.

Would any one mind posting a pick of their car with the 1.2's. Im considering buying them and i don't want to disapointed when they aren't as cool as sid's rims.

I have a hard time letting them go too long without cleaning...there's a big difference to my eyes between clean satin black (freshly washed) and matt brownish black (brake dusted)...but cleaning is by far much easier than any other color...only gripe, twelve spokes to contend with and tough to reach behind and clean BBK:impatient

thanks for the fast response.....

I thought about painting my stock calipers, then thought about how much fun it would be to keep them clean....nah!

The Wilwoods i had on my miata were black - no where near as fun, but easeir to keep after.

thanks again!

are there any technical differences between these wheels? other than where the spokes end?

I got a set of black 17 inch PR1's from Radial Tire (301-585-2740) two month's ago, and love them. Had to wait a few month's after they were ordered from across the big pond, but the wait was worth it. If anyone can get the PR1's now, Sammy at Radial Tire can.
