I'm thinking about getting them as my choice of tire, when I swap my runflats. Any experiences with them out there? Heard they were the #1 choice of aftermarket tire out there now. I plan on maybe going with those, along with Konig's Holes (graphite finish), or Konig Ziege wheels. Still have to make some choices.
Decided against the Hamann wheels. Being that they are a lot costlier as well as heavier, didn't quite make sense. But damn they look fine.
Cheers,

Nice tire, agrressive look. Rotate regularly to keep quietest performance. 3 x the tire of the Gen 1 Parada in the rain.

Thanx Dan for the feedback.
I read an article on them in last month's issue of R&T I think it was. They sounded pretty well done up for a tuner tire. Just wanted to see if anyone could say the same thing and/or maybe give some personal experiences with them before I take the plunge and get them if they turn out to be as good as 'they' say they are. Any have them on their MINI, or even another car?
Cheers,

hello all,

since we're on this subject, can i ask Dan@tirerack a question regarding these tires?

Dan,
i am currently running 18" with 35 series spec 2's. i hate the ride. i wound if 40 series tire would help with the ride comfort or not? i am thinking about getting rid of these 18" for 17". what are your thoughts or wise words?

thanks a lot guys,

I have had a few sets of Parada leave lately. We should have Mini specific feedback being posted very soon. I had them years ago in gen 1, rotate them regularly. More look than performance in my eye.

I would agree that 40's would give more compliance in the sidwalls, but you have Z rated sidewalls that maintain a very firm sidewall, almost counteracting the increased profile. You've also begun to make taller gearing, and a slightly inaccurate spedometer.

I would say your 17 inch idea is a much better choice. I would use 205/45, and your overall diameter will be right on. The only down side is the look of 18's is slightly more dramatic than 17's. A big plus - 17's are lighter

Done deal
I just purchased 4- Yokahama PARADA Spec2 205/45/R16 tires to go along with the new for '03 Konig Holes (in graphite finish). Amazing!
Anywho, was wondering what I may be able to get for my all season 16" runflats. Any ideas anyone? I have no clue what they retail for, or what ballpark figure to use. They have 11,000km's (Canadian eh) on them. Any suggestions? I'm not trying to get back every cent for them. Just trying to figure out what to ask for them. I have no clue. If replying, could you specify whether you're using CDN or US currency please? Thanx.
Anyone here want to buy them?
Cheers,

Sorry to revive this old thread, but I just swapped my Parada 2/Konig 17" Imagines back to the OEM run flats and rims due to some serious chunking mostly on the left front. Two driving schools, Putnum Park and Mid-Ohio plus maybe 10,000 regular miles on the set. Still tread left for next year schools but I am wondering why the chunking? Both tracks are primarily right turns which probably explains it. Tire were rotated once front to back and balanced. Car has H Sports and all other suspension is OEM. Any ideas?

215/45/17 Pirelli P zero Corsa is an excelecnt choice. All the other option's I'd entertain would

A - require modification

B - work best on big HP cars, due to TALLER gearing

C - utilize 225/45/17

Through the experiance of havin some Konig rims..I wouldnt recomend buyin those if you do any aggressive driving. They are soft as freakin butter and bend on the slightest pot hole. I dunno if they all do that..but the set I had years back was a pile of crap lol

Tires i definitly recommend Falken Azenis. they are an AWESOME street/track tire. very sticky and very predictable. I had a pair on my subaru before the mini, and they were the best tires ive owned.
