Ireland Engineering Rear Rotor Kit

Anyone installed this kit? If so, do you lose the parking brake? I can't see how the cable is long enough to reach the calipers new location.
Pictures Anyone?
Thanks!!
Jim

I dont know anyone who has installed this, but if it uses the stock rear caliper (this set does) you would keep the parking brake. There is enough length to the parking brake cables to accomodate the inch or two relocation.

Nope, not enough length. Had to unclip the cables from underneath the car. This gave just enough extra length to fit.
Thanks,
Jim

So there was enough length, you didn't have to replace the cables.

What I meant was.... There was not enough length in the stock location. jeez
Of course had been there ANY instructions with the kit, then I wouldn't have had to ask.

And the final result was what - you do still have parking breaks or not. How is break balance? I have the Wilwood 12.2 in front.
Thanks
Wes

Yes,
After re-arrainging the cables, I was able to get enough length for them to work.
Balance is fine.

Where were you on Saturday??

From your website:"these kits will require some clearance grinding of the factory caliper cage bracket and are NOT a direct bolt on without this custom work!"

Ireland's kit is a bolt-on, no grinding required AND $69.00 cheaper.

Actually I was at Buttonwillow all weekend if you tried to call. Sorry.

Note that the grinding needs are ONLY on the matching Wilwood packages and NOT on the TCE style applications. (it says that if you look closely)

Yes they are more money; for reasons not worth long debates. If you're happy, I'm happy. It's not a big deal too me.
