17x7.5 ET35 Question

So, I just bought myself a 2003 Mini Cooper and I like the BBS RX, but it only comes in a 17x7.5 ET35 fitment. I have searched this site, and found a photo of 17x8 ET35 (which looked like they fit), but I haven't seen any photos of the 17x7.5 ET35 fitment. Has anyone tried this? Any advice? Thanks in advance.

You will be ok, at stock height. No issues.

If you lower the car though, you'll likely have problems. I have 17x7 +38 with H&R springs, and while I've got no problems now, it's getting close.

It's d6-mcs's car. He has 17x8 (ET35) and 17x9 (ET25). Do a search on his posts.

So, I'm going to take the plunge today. Researched this setup and it seems bonz was running this fitment without any issues. I really like the BBS RXs and can't wait to get them! I'll post photos once they are installed.

What did you end up ordering? I'm going to keep the car at stock height as I actually like the handling.

im getting a lot of mixed reaction over the rubbing business with an ET35 offset. I want some 17x8 ET35 wheels, my car will be lowered by 55mm. will it rub?

Again it depends on tire size, 205 is safe and 215/40 maybe ok but 215/45 would be too close, so not sure?

I've ordered the wheels with a 295/40 tyre. I may try and find some 195/45

Look for Konky's car around here, he ran 17x8 ET35 Schmidts with 205/40 rubber. You might get some slight rubbing but nothing that won't work itself out...

What wheels did you order?

Okay cheers mate. I'll see if I can find him and send him a PM. I've ordered some Calibre Vintage wheels. Theyr a proper euro style wheel, Which will go with the body colour roof rack I'm now saving for!
