Finally made the switch...no more runflats!!

I finally got rid of the run flats and purchased a set of Flik/Fuel (silver) & Falken/Ziex Ze 512, both stock size (17x7 and 205/45/17). I am really happy with the look and it is much smoother now than it was with the runflats- much less harsh. I removed the center caps as I thought they looked cheesy. I am running 35PSI right now and the car feels good. One thing that I have noticed is that the rear end feels like it wants to come out a LOT easier than it did with the runflats- any idea why it feels like this? I included a few pics, enjoy...

Yup... Definately like those wheels.. I'm doing stockers for now but I think some FLIK Waps in the Antharite finish are in SLiM's future

One more- it doesn't show the wheels but I like the way this one came out after the car was washed/waxed. I forgot to mention that I got the stuff from Edge racing- great service and an excellent price, highly recommended.

I too just upgraded to Flik Wheels--Wasp Anthracite (as earlier mentioned by someone else). I also have the Falken Ziex tires. I find the back end wanting to whip around more too.

I ordered mine from Edgeracing.com too.

Good looking car. Nice wheels too. Did you also get a tire patch kit? Flats happen (I got one at under 700 miles).

I ordered new wheels and tires (not here yet but I was too stubborn to want to benefit from Edgeracing or Tire Rack), but in anticipation I ordered the Continental tire patch kit from Tire Rack--what super service! 2 confirmations via email and 2 days later it arrived. Next time I will buy wheels and tires from either NAM sponsor. They know what they are doing.

You're not alone. I just put Kuhmo ASXs on my MCS and they feel the same way. Stick just fine, but it's slower on initial turnin, then it feels like the rear wants to break loose...but it hasn't.

I'm tempted to adjust the rear sway (PO installed Hsport rear), but not until I've got more miles on them.

Just my $.02, but I think the rear "breaking loose" feeling is due to new tires and the fact that they're still releasing oil inside the rubber. Give it 400-600 miles, and see if that improves.

Green Giant- hmmm, interesting- I hadn't heard of that before. The tires feel GREAT, much smoother. I will be more than happy to put more miles on them, I'll post when I get some higher miles on them.
Anyone else have this problem? Thanks again all.

Its the mould release agent used to pop tires from their moulds. Like PAM cooking spray for tires.

Thanks guys, it already feels like they are getting more solid. Maybe this South Texas heat is helping with that process!

Sweet!

Beautiful wheel & tire combo, jbsf3!

Those wheels cetainly look better on a car with tires on them than they do on the site...

May I ask you what is the wheel weight? w/ or w/o tires... I can estimate it if its total weight...

Thanks!

Doh!

17 lbs per rim... ok, missed that one on edge racing...

Thanks, though!
