Problem W/perfect Rims! Plz Help

Hey guys. I just got done looking at the latest GoMINI Mag... For about the 157th time. I CAN'T stop looking at these rims. They are what I have been looking for the entire time. Plus they're chrome! There is just one BIG problem. I think that they are team dynamics dominators. I am not for sure though. Well anyway I have only found one place on the net that carries them. I have also contacted GoMINI to see if they can give me more info. Does anyone have any ideas as to more places from where I can get these?

Thanks in Advance
Chili

Those look great and it would be really fun for you to have some wheels that are not readily available at the big tire and wheel places.

If they are hard to come by, I'd suggest you buy 5 of them just in case

Call Team Dynamics USA

ChilicooperS,

Looking for Team Dynamics in the US? Call Don Kane at 909 947-0114, Fax at 909 947-5763, or email usateamdyn@earthlink.net The US Sales office is in Ontario, CA

If the TD Dominator wheels are available in the UK, then TD USA can probably get them.....and advise you of a US dealer to purchase them through. You can link the dealer site/ page which shows them for sale in the UK in an email to Don. http://www.topgear.co.uk/acatalog/TD17_inch.php

Team Dynamics wheel lines are shown via this link http://www.rimstock.co.uk/ select UK or USA, then click on Ranges.
Although it doesn't show the Dominator, it's probably because the web site is not updated. Good Luck. Tell Don that Charlie sent you!

Try the Ace Manta. They make in fitments for the MINI. Wheelmax.com has them.

I was just on their website and a 2 yr subscription is 144lbs??? Yikes that's over 200 US dollars. Surely there's a cheaper solution in the US. where do you get yours and how much.

I get mine directly from the source and get it about a week after it hits the stands in the UK. I think mine was about $176. IT IS WELL WORTH IT THOUGH. It has the best info on the new mini out of any mag I have purchased. It tends to have alot to say about europe but every now and then an article from over here pops up. Do not go with Carmags. I ordered a subscription and 3 months later still had not recieved a mag yet.

For info Call (publisher):
tel 01452 317700
Fax 01452 307170

They aren't available in chrome

ChilicooperS,
The Ace Manta's aren't available in Chrome according to the website...just silver or hyperblack. Go to wheelmax.com and check out their ACE wheel selection

17 x 7 is OK for the MINI; but you can't tell what the offset is from their site.
If you're gonna run a "stock" tire size, 205 /45/17, then there shouldn't be a problem if the offset is 40 to 50

I'd check with Alex at the Tire Rack for his opinion on the brands/sizes listed. I believe they carry them all.

Don't forget to call TD USA to check on the wheels in the photo

You're all set!

There you go ChilicooperS. N Parker searched just a little further that I did. Wow, the wonders of the Internet!
Like many overseas companies, they're located in So. Cal, same area code as Team Dynamics.

You'll want the 4 x 100 bolt pattern, which is available in an offset of 42, 17 x 7, in chrome.

Check with Alex at the Tire Rack on the best size tire, but I think you'll be able to fit the 215/45/17 with minimal, if any rubbing on stock springs.

Here's the contact info on Ace:

Ace Alloy Wheel [ Kanei Inc.]
13775 Magnolia Avenue, Chino, CA 91710
Tel. 909.628.6680, Fax. 909.628.6687

The Dominator is an ACE Manta

ChilicooperS,
Spoke with Team Dynamics USA today. The TD "Dominator" you saw is actually a wheel made in China which TD USA probably will not import. With that information, I believe you're on the right path to get the ACE Manta 17 x 7 in chrome through Wheel Max or some other retailer that sells ACE wheels. The "Dominator" is really an "Manta". Go figure!

Happy Motoring
