What Rim/Tire Combo are you using?
So apparently 2 of my rims (JCW 4 lug Black with red stripe) are damaged.
I've had a vibrating/steering wheel wobble for as long as I've had the car, dealership confirmed the rims are damaged. So I could pay roughly $350 per rim from the dealer, which is more than I was hoping to spend, or I could go to tire rack and pick out a cheaper set of rims AND tires as well so I can finally get rid of these runflats as well!
So please let me know what rims & tires you guys are using, are the comfortable? Do they seem smooth? How is the grip when cornering?
I would like something that feels a lot smoother, possibly wide like 7"-8" and that doesn't "follow cracks in the road" as these pirelli runflats do... which I was told would be anything besides those darn runflats lol, but please... I'm interested to hear what people are using as a setup!

It's not "anything but the runflats" that will avoid tram lining on the pavement grooves. The tread design, the alignment, and even the tire pressure have some influence on that behavior. And it's tough to say ahead of time what combinations of those things will do that and what won't.
My wife's brand-new Honda CRV does that, for instance.

Replaced bent rims on my 13 JCW with a set of ROTA RB hyper black, converted to studs rather than bolts, dropped the car 2 inches on Mach V springs, added spacers in front (none in rear), and slapped on a set of Sumotomo sneakers size 235 (yes,235) 40 x 17 all for under $1400.
p,s. shipping for everything included.

If you're looking to keep runflats on the car, try the Bridgestone Driveguards. Significantly nicer ride than my previous 2 sets of RF's. Can't say they are track tires, but dry and wet performance are top notch and still feel solid through high speed sweepers.
edit: saw you didn't want RF's anymore, which is understandable. Should it come down to it though, they have made strides for RF tires with the driveguard.
