New wheel from Michelin

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but Michelin is working on a new wheel called the TWEEL. Its a wheel that does not use air. I will try and post some pics. Could be some pics at the Michelin web site. I seen some of the new tweels on a Audi A4 and a Segway.

More of a solid tire, then a wheel. Won't be around for 10 to 15 years.

Are those significantly heavier than the regular tires?

No air?? My forklift has foam filled tires that you can stab a knife (or sharp piece of steel) into and they just keep going. No air just foam.

I know that Michelin has a run-flat system that requires special wheels. I think the new Mustangs have it as an option. Do they make a wheel and Michelin run-flat to fit a mini?

Hey Alex, that's the wheel I was trying to think of!

Great idea huh? Michelins TRX tire that ONLY works with the TRX wheel (good for competition and lower costs) Don't see too many 5-series or 6-series that actually still have them.
