Front caliper rebuilt

Good morning all,

So I actually have a R53 but I am doing the R56 fronts caliper on the R53 mod. I picked up a set of calipers and am in the process of rebuilding and powder coating them. When I removed one of the slide pins, the plastic stayed behind in the caliper. I did get it out, but the plastic is destroyed. I looked online but could not find a replacement but did find replacement pins on ECS. However the pins are not the same as original. See pics and link.

New pin link: https://www.dormanproducts.com/p-31163-hw14901.aspx

Has anyone used the new pins?
Then also because I was an idiot and did not snap a pic at the time, which pin goes where?
Does anyone know where / if I can get just the plastic piece?

Thanks

I have the JCW R56 calipers out and laying on my garage floor but I am over by the Dragon this week. When I get back I will do some digging if you still need the info.

After looking at images and forums I found the answers. The caliper pin with the silicon bushing(or whatever) goes into the bottom hole of the caliper carrier and the longer plain pin in the upper. I did find replacement parts that matched the original, not just the Dorman(HW14901) found at some places. Rockauto (https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...boot+kit,11515) had all the part in varies kits. I ended up ordering all the seals, rubber boots and bushing from them and used the old pins.
