It definitely needs a BBK. My pockets on the other hand does not support my decision. Looks like he most affordable/best option it JCW pro bbk, need to measure and maybe use spacer when the time comes.

BBK and red calipers would just make me happy.

I came across this youtube video on a german mini tuning site.
At 2:42 of the video, they unveil a f56 with what looks like Breyton GTSR's on it. I remember the Breyton GTSR's being popular on the previous gen mini's. I found a UK site that sells them and ships at a reasonable price, but want to shop around a bit before I go for it. Anyone know if they sell these wheels somewhere in the US? I haven't seen anyone on here with them installed. They look to be at the same price point as the NM Eng RSE12 and RSE10.

Do you guys see any issues going with 215/40/18 on an 18x7.5 wheel with 48et? I see most go with 205/40, but there are more options at 215/40 and I like the idea of a slightly meatier tire.

Quote: I have no idea Vetsvette. Lol. I think I need to save my pennies for a bit before I can even think about more car parts. I'm sure if needed, I can get a 5mm spacer to push he offset +50 to +45. People seems to have found a sweet spot at +45

Didn't really get a good angle, but most likey need 5-8mm spacer to clear jcw bbk. Not sure, or didn't measure at all.
i'm on 18x8 ET45 and put 215/40's....i wanted 225/40's but was concerned on the rubbing.

if you put 5mm spacers, you'd be same as me, only wider tire. do you think you'd hit the fender?

MarcoPolo, there's a very good chance you'd hit the fender depending on your height. With mine, I'm sure my my front bumper is a little off when I hit a decent size bump at high speeds. My suspension is firm but comfortable (I've learned what the car and can't take with the new setup) The wheels felt like it pushed the inside of the bumper from inside the wheel well area and popping something loose. 5 mm from the 45 would probably hit the arch and damage that with the same scenario and rub the tires. If you've been driving with the wheel setup for a while, I think you'd be fine though. I'm sure you know what the limits are. I would for sure consider 215 next time so i don't have to be so careful and drive more freely. I would only move to 45 if I need the clearance for a JCW bbk.

Guys,
I am looking to buy an OZ Ultraleggera, 18x7,5 ET 45, to fit on my MCS F56 and put 215/40.
I would like to know, if with this set, I can use JCW Brakes.
Can someone help me?

Thanks!

I can't really say, but they look like a good candidate for working with JCW brakes. If you have the brakes already, you could always order 1 wheel for test fitment, and ship it back if it doesn't work.

I ended up going with Breyton GTS-R's. They're 18x7.5 48et with 205/40/18. 215/40 would have easily fit and I plan on going that route when these tires are shot.

I do not have the JCW brakes yet, but I just realized that OZ Ultrallegera 18x7,5", has only ET50 and ET45 just for the 18x8'',I will choose 18x7,5'' ET50.
My question, the factory wheel for JCW is 18X7,0'' ET 54 as I can see on realoem, based on that, 18,7,5'' ET50, should fit JCW brakes as well, right?

Thanks all!

it's really about the curve of the spokes and how much they poke out...which can really only be proven by mounting a wheel. mini has 2 of the same wheel only 1 fits JCW brakes while the other, where the spokes dont' poke out as much, doesn't fit the JCW brakes.

It was my thought and now you clarified.

On the wheels you just have to make sure on the JCW brakes as the face of the wheels tend to curve in on most companies, so spacer can be the fix.

I was getting our R56 serviced today and was looking at the new cars on the lot. Most, if not all the wheels have very minimal clearance from the calipers on stock breaks! The wheels are super close even on the rear breaks. I was hoping to find a JCW so I can see the BBK and have an idea for my F55.

The factory JCW BBK Wheels fit, most other MINI OEM wheels will need spacers.

Here are some wheel that will fit, note the BBK JCW notes on the wheels. NM has some direct fit JCW wheels and AC Schnitzer uses spacers

Looking toward winter tires, maybe 195/65/15 for our new Clubman (not an S) F54. has anyone tried 15 inch wheels to see if they can be mounted on this model? Clearance with front brakes?

The MCS comes with run flats due to the lack of spare tire. When you got new wheels, did you go with a regular tire or keep the runflats?

Quote: Eibachs using my car this week to fit front and rear sway bars, so excited. But anyone know anything about lowering with my offsets? Wheels fit pretty agresively and don't want my fenders getting destroyed by my tires every pothole I hit.
Edit:ET 35
I had fender rubbing in the rear with ET42 17s over bumps when lowered. But maybe if you're running stretched tires...
