Are you using spacers? I ask because I only have approximately 8mm of space between the 205 on my JCW and the front shock. So it appears I wouldn't have the space to move to a 225.

 

Does anyone know if there are any BBS LM Replica's which will work on the F56 JCW?

I have the car on order and really want LM wheels, but can't find anything that will work with the F56 JCW brake calipers

 

No but my rims are a 45 offset not the factory 54offset

 

Niche does not sure on the brake clearance but they are a 45 offset. They are bricks if I remember correctly 26-28lbs. F56 is pretty limited already big brakes make it worse.

 

Rings on a white car look like eyeliner since there are no black housing options

Alzor 18x8.5 here et 45. But on the JCW Brakes also ? Worth a shot or at least a test fitment. But might be too wide. Spacers might be needed. No one has measured the new JCW brakes yet. I know they poke out a bit more then the stock brakes. The JCW wheels seem to cup around them based off the design.

I have a 15' Thunder Grey MCS currently running 16'' loop wheels. I just ordered these Drag DR-19 17x7.5 offset 42. I'm looking at the Continental Extreme Contact DW in the 205/45/17. should this be a direct bolt-on without any fitment issues, or will I run into any surprises? TIA

 

You should be good as I am running a et 45 but a inch wider tire at 225/45/17 its also 1/2" taller than OEM. I do not rub even if I bottom the suspension out.

 

I am curious about the ECS recommended LM replica's....but since I am in Canada, not sure I want to be a test fit car as shipping costs will be absurd!

PS - does the BBS centre cap fit?

 

Test fit would be best for sure. We might have an F56 in the future to test on.

66mm Alzor center cap comes with it in black, red below. You would have the measure the BBS one to see if its the same and the clip style.

Woah really? Did you talk to them directly or did you read that somewhere?

 

I worked with one of their engineers. They were nice enough to go to a dealer and test fit one for me. No joy! They can custom make a wheel if I want to spend the $$. They have been great to work with.

Good question. I would like to be all in wheels/tires for $2500 or less.

I already have the 18" Two-Tone JCW Cup Spoke Wheels. Was looking to go with 18" NM's that would fit 225's.

 

Have you looked at SSR ? Would push your budget but some good options. The think the problem is your going to have to use an aggressive offset unless the wheel contours like the JCW and if you do clearance on a 225 tire is going to be sketchy. I have 225/45/17 and clearance is not much even with a et45 offset

 

Why not just use a small spacer for the NM Engineering wheels? I doubt the fitment is so tight they can't handle a small spacer.

Edit: For instance, this wheel is an 18x7.5 et 45.


R99 is running Speedlines that are 18x8 et 45 and still easily fit under the fenders




You could run a 6mm spacer on the NM Engineering wheels to be at the same effective offset he has. Also apparently his Speedline wheels clear the JCW brakes, so that's another option

 

+1 thats a good option.

 

Haven't read through this entire thread but if anyone knows of any lightweight 15" wheels (ideally 10-11# or less) I could use on the track please post!

These JCW brakes are looking to be a problem for wheel fitment.

 

Thanks for the great ideas. The spacer and Speedlines are great options. I reached out to the person I've been working with NM and he agreed spacers may work. It appears they haven't given up as they are getting a JCW brake so they have something to work from. I'll keep you posted.

 

My wheels would work I believe. I have a solid 3" of clearance on the standard S brakes.
