Hi guys,

the new F56 JCW brake kit is released on ETK.
i want to order one.
just wonder if the brake kit fit the oem 17' wheels with flange?
i have checked ETK carefully just found 510 17' probably fit the brake kit.
others are sure cant fit the brake as shown on option list.

 

I looked on ETK and couldn't find it. What exactly did you look under F56S, JCW or something else?

 

I have the only kit out there at the moment (on a customer car), and I'm running 18x8 ET45 wheels.

This is the spoke clearance I have (a couple of mm at most):



In terms of the OEM wheels, they have specific rims which have spokes that bend out to clear the brakes (and IMO look hideous as a result)

I think they are the 17" track spoke and the 18" cup spoke

 

The MINI USA Configurator lists the 17x7 Race Spoke (498) as standard and 17x7 Track Spoke (501) as a no cost option for the JCW.

The 17x5.5 Double Spoke (510) is for use with winter tires.

 

Looks as if the Track Spoke is the OEM version used for a winter set in combination with Dunlop Wintersport 4D tires.
