Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 17x8 offset - HELP!!!

Hello!

What would be best et33 or et38? Looking to be flushed with the fenders. A little poke is okay; however, I will be dropping very soon. This is for a R53.

I have searched around and can only find 2 MINI's with the same wheel running a 17x8. They both are running et38 with wider tires. I plan to use my current tires which are Conti DWS 205/45/17 for a while and then probably go with 215/40/17.

So what is your vote? Ordering these wheels next week. I have even toyed the idea of buying et38 and some 5mm spacers to see how it looks; however, I have never liked spacers.

ET38 is my vote. The 205's will be a little small but when you goto the 215's it will be much better. Thats IMO.

Thanks! I know the differences are minimal. Its just for some reason the offsets can completely change the way the wheels look sometimes. I wish I could get two side by side.

I ordered mine from wheel specialists here in Arizona if you call them and ask for Darren he can tell you the offset you need.

Miniman S is that your white MINI? That is perfect stance. That is what I am looking for! What offsets and tires are you running?

Nice! I noticed the TCE 13" 6 piston BBK on your sig. That is on my list of mods. How do you like them and how was the fit?

I used to run a 17x8 et30 with 205/40. Switching to a 17x8 et35 215/40 for this season, hopefully test fitting next week.

Thanks Miniman S!

I am actually planning BBKs before any big power upgrades.

In retrospect are they worth the 1k over just upgrading SS lines and pads?

Creeve - Will you post some pics? I can wait another week or so to order. I am excited to see your ride. I recall you had Rotiforms and seriously considered those wheels. Your car looked hot! So what wheels are you getting?

Yea sure I can post some pictures. I am working on a set of used wheels from an obscure company called Modena Racing.

The original specs were 17x8 et45 front, 17x8 et26 rear. However, I'll be using a 10mm spacer in front.

Well the wheel is gonna look the same either way, they just change the thickness of the mounting pad. They don't change the concavity of the face or deepen the lip with these wheels for different offsets ,so you might as well get the et38 and if you want a "flusher" look just throw some 5mm or 8mm spacers on

Let me know what you think of the exhaust. I've gone back and forth on that for a while now.

And post pics of the wheels!

$50 and 45 min later the exhaust is in! much deeper than the one ball for sure. it is a little loud on the highway for my taste right now. i am hoping after a few hundred miles it should quite down. all my other exhausts have done that.

is it worth the money over the one ball? yes! much much deeper. the pops and burble are still there but much deeper. i like! got rid of the raspy and tingy sounds that i did not care for. unless its a e46 m3 i do not care for rasp. need to do something about those tips...

wheel update: should be in next week!

i hear 17x8 et 35 is gold. so go 17x7.5. wait... they make nt03 for mini? my favorite enkei wheel is the rpf1 but have to be 9" for the flat spokes.

coilovers: i am going with st for around 1k. they seem to be the best compromise between cost and quality. only height adjustable though. do not know if that matters to you or not.

i found nto3 for a 1000 w/o tires im new to the whole offset i thought about rpf1 but i like how nto3 have the concave insert and as for coils i keep.seeing everyone runs kwv2or3 i.want a good poke that i.dont have to really worry about wearing tires like all the.other stance guys do
