Need help with fitment...

To the powers that be, in the black art of aggressive fitment. On an R55, can I run 17x9 and if so what offsets would I need to make it look perfect??? Thank you for any help!

Define perfect? Are you wanting to poke, be flush with the arch, or tuck the wheel under the arch?
The limitations are having the wheel offset that too high, that the inner barrel can make contact with suspension components.

As flush as possible. I don't want poke.

Ok, there some limitation involved.
The highest offset I've see work on a 17x9 wheel on a R56 / R55 platform was 30mm because any higher and the make will make contact with the trailing arms.
17x9 @ 30mm offset that provides around some ~13mm of poke.

17x8 @ 30mm on the R56 / R55 is considered flush in the front.

Neither, I call it like I see it.

That car is pretty useless as a car. It's probably crap on the track too...(if it ever has seen a track) SO what's the point? Therefore hard parker...

So we'll go with narrow-minded and short-sighted. The car culture is multi-faceted. A concept you clearly can't grasp.

I'm gonna save the time and say let's end this before it starts. His car is amazingly well setup so he can daily drive that and show it at competitions, yet have fun motoring on windy roads when he wants. It's probably much more dynamic than your car.

And imagine this scenario for a second:" What if he doesn't want to track it?" WHHHATTT? I know, your little brain is probably blown Rich.

Narrow minded? Shortsighted? Really?

It's a hard parker... All show no go. (not that there's anything wrong with that, if that's what you do), but you can't make the car work at that ride height. And airbags don't have enough spring rate, the tires are stretched on the wheels...

But whatever floats your boat.

Exactly Richard, whatever floats your boat. I enjoy going fast more than "hard parking" as well but that doesnt change the fact that some people do. Further more if you were standing in front of Rally and his car you wouldnt talk $H !+. My point was keep your negativity to yourself.

Pretty high; like a 20mm-25mm spacer would be required have the wheel face sit flush with fender with a 7" wide wheel @ 42mm offset.
