I just came back from the Philippines with some wheels.

They are Rota Circuit 10. 16x6.5. Since Rota is made in the Philippines and my cousin works at the factory, i got all four wheels for $80....Not bad for a winter set huh?!?

I still have the RPM2's those will be for the summer.

Anyways here is a pic.(sorry for the big size..photoshop is currently uninstalled. it was in the garage and i didnt want to take it out in the 10" of snow we had here in Chicago).

$80/set? If you can get them for even twice that amount you have a customer.

How much do they weigh? Maybe a Rota dealer can import them, so stock class autocrossers have more choices than SSRs $$$$$ and AK Monzas (YWMV). I really like the look, and would be interesetdd in a set for rain tires.

they weight is around 12 lbs. a piece....a lot lighter than the R83's (20lbs.)

yeah...the reason i got the set for $80 is because my cousin works at the factory.

otherwise, it would have been $83 a piece...which is still super cheap.

I was thinking they looked like Volks, but Rota has made a great many copied wheels.

yeah, a person is allowed 2 boxed with a max weight of 70 lbs. a piece. I had two boxes with 2 wheels in each. Along with some other stuff that i brought back, the boxes only weighed 50+ lbs. so it worked out fine.

Heh, when i was at the factory..they wanted to know if i wanted the "Mugen" sticker on the wheel. And that would have jacked the price up $20 a piece. Just for the sticker!

Where exactly in the Philippines is the Rota factory at? Do they give tours? I'd like to visit it and buy some wheels when I go back to the PI.

They make Yokohama tires in the PI too..mmm I wonder how much they are

Man, the factory is located in the bowels of Manila. The factory doesnt have any sign leading to it or anything. But once you see it, "PAWI" or Philippine aluminum wheel incorported...or sumtin to that effect is the manufacturer. No they dont give tours...Umm in reality the buy was more of the "under the table" type thiing because it was a factory and not an actual retailer.
