I have 20K on a set of 16s. They are pretty good for the price. Fairly grippy. I do drive them hard on the twisties. Not too bad when it comes to wet traction, but did not do real well in light snow. I like the fact that they and not directional and can cross rotate, they have worn very well with rotation every 3,500 miles. Road noise is moderate at this point.

I have these on my MINI now. I pretty much concur with what Paleo says. Right now in cold weather they tend to slip a lot on launch. I drove them in the snow recently and they got me to where I needed to go but with a lot of help from the traction control. In the summer they are great.

Consumer Reports ranked them as the top all season tire a couple of years ago, I think.

I've got some 215-45-17's with just over 10k on them. They're pretty good tires overall; good dry traction, pretty good in wet, decently quiet. My main complaint is they didn't do a thing in snow/wintry mix. While they do fair when you are actually moving, they can't get started in snow worth anything having a radial tread pattern. If you live in a place that doesn't get much winter precipitation, they'll do pretty good, but if you get much snow at all, I say look somewhere else.

I agree with all of the above. These tires are fine in warm weather but definitely not good in the snow. The Continental runflats on my wife's MCSa are better in the snow.

i got these wheels as my "winter" set... they are okay in the snow, but do not have as much grip as i would like on launch (as stated previously).

otherwise they are grippy and a good ride. definitely would recommend... i would probably not buy these again as my all season/snows.

In the Consumer Reports Nov. 2009 ratings, the following did better than the Falken ZE912 in the snow (H-speed ratings):
Michelin Primacy MXV4
Nokian WR G2
Kumho Solus KH16
Continental Contipro Contact
Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S

There are several more, but then they are getting lower on overall rating.

Continental Extreme Contact DWS is exceptional in snow.

I have the falkens. They suck in snow. Really not usable in anything over a couple of inches. I had the Conti Extreme contacts before that. In snow they were very good, but I did not like their dry weather performance. I am done with the mini in snow anyways so my next tire will be a good summer tire.

I replaced my run flats with these about 3000 miles ago. While they not as tight in sharp turns as the Dunlops I have no regrets in their performance otherwise. They grip very good in wet and dry pavement and are so much quieter than the runflats. Can't say much about running in the snow as I drive a truck in those conditions. For me you get a lot of tire for the cost ~ $130 installed.

i have about 38000 miles on mine and yes they need replacing. I am getting a lot of slip on take off now when cold. I do a lot of highway driving so I get a lot of miles from a set of tires.

For dry driving, they are not even close to the performance of the KDWs I had before.

They have become a little noisy lately.

Snow, no, they are scary. I almost had to park the car on a hill this past winter because I could not get up it. Granted, the tires are worn but not at the wear bars yet. Traction control got me up the hill and I could have walked up faster.

Because my car is old now, I am going to a more all season tire. The continental extremecontact DWS seems the best tire for this choice.

Replaced my original run-flats with these. Excellent tires at a good price. Not much snow here in South Carolina so I'm very happy with them.
