Locking bolts for aftermarket wheels

We've had this problem in the past, that the OEM MINI wheel locks (made by McGard) don't fit in aftermarket wheels because they are too fat, so a lot of our customers who buy aftermarket wheels have to go lock-less. At least one guy we know had his beautiful Rota RBs stolen right out of his own apartment parking lot.

Now we can proudly offer RAD wheel locks that FIT any aftermarket wheel. (Okay, I can't promise ANY wheel. But every one that we have here, and that's a lot.)

There's lot of other benefits, too. They threads are cold-rolled into the steel fasteners, then the whole fastener is made corrosion-resistant by a coating of Dacromet. The matching lock tool is coded, and you get a little number card that allows you to call for a new tool in the event you ever lose yours.

Even the packaging is really nice.

Available in both 12mm and 14mm bolt sizes.

Are people stealing MINI wheels? Just wondering if they're really needed? I guess it depends on where you live and park your MINI - but are MINI wheels desirable theft targets?

My Lexus came with wheel locks, and I took them off and put all standard wheel bolts on it, I mean who's going to steal the standard wheels off a '98 ES 300? It was a PITA every time I took it in for service with the locks on there.....

MINIdave, you'd think it would not be a problem, but the 4x100 MINI bolt pattern is shared with lots of other cars, including Hondas, E30 BMWs, and Mazda Miatas.

We just sold a second set of Rota RBs to a customer whose first set got stolen. :(

Hi,
I am glad to see this product and hopping this would be quite useful for the future use.
I will solve the problem related to the bolt size.
Thanks

To me it sounds like a good thing to have even if you have stock wheels, considering that the pattern is shared with several other manufacturers lock pattern. Do these locks have a unique spline pattern not shared by other wheel locks?

That's right. In fact, even within this type of lock, there are more than two dozen spline patterns. So you and your neighbor can both get RAD wheel locks, and you won't have to worry that your neighbor can steal your wheels.
