Thinking about these Wheels.

Hey guys I am thinking about buying these for my 2009 MCS. Please tell me what you guys think and recommend for tires with these. I will also be installing the Eibach drop springs I have for the car at the same time. Thanks for the help guys/gals.

Awesome choice. Angina-inducing price, but one of the best of the best from BBS. I have 'em on my car (which is being lowered as I type this, new pics coming later today or tomorrow). For tires, I went with Michelin Pilot Exaltos, and have been happy with the choice. Here's what the car looks like today, pre-suspension upgrade....

Awesome wheel choice! These are my all time favorite - I will however, be getting reps. as my wife would shoot me if I got the real things. I just put new tires on my MINI and went with goodyear eagle F1s - love them so far

Beautiful wheels. They are going to take longer to clean than the car! Have fun.

Very nice, I talked to Dan today at CCW. They are putting together a price for me on a set of CCW Classics in 17X7.5. When I get the quote back from them I am going to make my decision. I have to say your mini looks great lowered brother. I wish this dang snow would go away here in Germany then I could throw on my Eibach drop springs.

That CCW Classic is nice.. but up in the BBS price stratosphere. Their website doesn't indicate construction (forged?) or weight. I'd definitely look into both of those questions before jumping, if you don't already have the info. At that price they should be both forged and light.

You can go way wider than 7.5. I think M3This has 18x8 CCWs on his (I think they're wider than 8 now though).

After talking to Dan all I know is the wheels should weigh in around 19 pounds for the 17X7.5 CCW Classics. I am not sure if the street version is forged or not. I am actually pretty ignorant on them to be honest. I have HRE 845R's on my Cobra and they cost about 4X as much as these in 19X9 and 19X11. But I just can't see spending that kind of money again on a car I daily drive.

Well, I have been talking with Dan at CCW, and it looks like the wheels are just about ordered. He has been awesome to work with. I am looking at ordering CCW Classics in 17X7.5. I know I can go wider, and if I were in the US I just might. But the fact is I am in Germany and I regularly drive between 90mph and 140mph just going to work. So the stretched or super low profile of 18's are just not going to work for me. Kind of hard to get out of the way of a pot hole you see at the last second at 120+mph. So I know some may not like my choice, but the good thing is I know I will be safe this way and I think it will look pretty good. Plus if I decide to change the size or offset, CCW will do what they can to help me with the change. I am looking at about 2 months before I have pics up as I have another trip to Africa before I can post the pics but I will.

I don't have the deepest pockets but really love the wheels. I got a PM asking for pics of my other rides so here they are.

Mine has a fully built motor, ported heads, Lentech manual auto, 4500 stall converter , coil overs, tubular K-member, Hellion T-76mm Turbo kit, Built 8.8 solid axle, custom fuel return style fuel system, 2 12" JL w6's, replaced the door and deck speakers (with what I can't remember), I am sure there is more but I can not remember at this point.

Got a message from Dan at CCW today. My centers are machined and ready to be face cut then off to polishing. Should be about a month and I will have them here in Germany. I ended up getting a set of CCW Classics in 17X7.5 with +38 offset. With TMPS sensors installed along with a set of 204/45-17 MICHELIN EXALTO PE2 Tires. Now just to get my buddy back home to ship me my Eibach drop springs. Should look decent I think.
