The pinch bolt missing on coils

I installed springs on my 07' MCS and I look under my Mini 2 months later to find my pinch bolt missing. The bolt I am talking about is the one that connects to the shock. It is gone on both front wheels. Are these important to have? Because i push the car and it feels normal..

Yes, buy a new bolt and nut for both sides. The piece that is above in the middle picture should be lined up with where the bolt inserts, I believe. Hex Bolt 07119905408 and Nut 33306777695.

Seriously? Both sides are missing? lol

Just replace them. That ear must go in the slot before you put the bolt in. It's there to prevent the strut from coming out of the front hub... (like it is in the pictures)

That's absolutely not safe to drive. The strut isn't being held into the knuckle. Fix it correctly and use a torque wrench this time.

Loctite isn't necessary for that fastener, just correct torque on the nut/bolt.

Just looked again at the pictures after looking a diagram. Park that sucker until you fixe it. That is way to dangerous to be driving. Hat a bump wrong and scratch on Mini and or Driver/passenger. If you had your car inspected by a state that requires it, you wouldn't be driving it home.
