Hello all,

...and Alex.

I'm looking for 16 or 17 inch wheels in WHITE to match my white roof on my BRG cooper. Can you give me a few suggestions? Pics would be great!

I was going to get those 7 spoke Exel wheels, but I was told those are no longer available...

Thanks in advance,

Kazu.

I am willing to sell my white S-lites that are coming in on Mr.Motor2 here in 2 weeks. If you want the Pirelli Euforia run-flats on 'em, those will be available too. Interested? PM me

Otherwise, there are lots of selections! the ASA LW5 in white is a fave of mine; ditto with the Kosei K-1. Good luck!

Ryan

Sorry, I'm not interested in OE wheels. They are too heavy! The same for the run-flats. I'll probably put on a set on Kuhmo's for my weekend races.

Thanks for the offer anyway,

kazu.

I considered them, but I've heard numerous horror stories about the wheel max. How was your buying experience?

hey kazu88,

i just got my brg/w mcs too and am deciding on which white 16" wheels to get along with either yokohama es100's or goodyear gs-d3's, something like 205/50 or 215/45.

choices are down to gt1's @ 15 lbs or asa lw5's @ 16 lbs but 1/2 the $$$.

in 17's possibly the prodrive p1's @ 22 lbs or gt1's @ 17 lbs.

but i want 16's pretty much for $$$ and performance and ride.

check out E-Bay Volk TE37 White 16" wheels

These could be had for a very good price and are very very light and very very strong...i'm not associated to this seller at all but thought you might be interested.

Hi Casey,

the Volk TE37s look real nice and light (11.2 lbs for 16x7 rims).
Do you know anything about the Volk Gramlight C rims, in 16x7 size, are they also forged and very strong? How much do they weigh?
TIA!!!!
BTW, thanks again for the great BMP BMW/MINI roundup, had a blast there!
Markus

Glad you had a good time at the event!

Here are some wheel weights for some of the volks and their construction...these aren't all the sizes - just what I could find quickly...but it is enough to get an rough guess of what the weight will be in the size you want. The Gram Lights are listed as Cast...I would guess a 16x7 version would weigh in the ball park of 14-15lbs.

Volk CE28N Forged 15x7 9.1
Volk CE28N Forged 17x7.5 13.8
Volk Gram Lights Cast 17x7.5 17.0
Volk SE37K Forged 17x7.5 14.3
Volk TE37 Forged 15x6 8.2
Volk TE37 Forged 15x6.5 8.8
Volk TE37 Forged 15x7 9.2
Volk TE37 Forged 16x7 11.2
Volk TE37 Forged 16x7.5 11.3
Volk TE37 Forged 16x8 13.3
Volk TE37 Forged 17x7.5 15.0

I have a BRG/w MCS and I'm also thinking about the white wheel option... and I feel better now having seen some pics...thanks people...

KBSETO...

I got some Bridgestone SO3 215/45/17 and I love them, HOWEVER, I am getting some rubbing from the rear driver side tires when the car is full...I think that going with a 215 50 17 will not be good for the car, but you should ask Alex about that. Is seems that the same cars react differently to tire change...just a heads up.
