Hi all! Recently just became a member, but have been lurking for a while. I was wondering what people think of the following combinations.. I'm looking for a wheel/tire set, and I'm sorta trying to decide between some Konig Tantrums or OZ Superleggeras in 17". What are people's thoughts on that? Are there other wheels that have the same nice look? My color combination is LY/B, but I don't know how all silver wheels will look on my car. Here's some pictures that I put together.

Before lowering, tinting and wheels.

After lowering.

After tinting.

With Konig Tantrums.

With OZ Superleggeras.

What do you guys think?

You might like these - Volk CE28N - weigh 12.8 lbs. Of the two you posted I prefer the OZ.

casey..
you have the best taste in wheels!
i think if and when i get another mini,
i'm gonna get either some LE37's or LE28's in custom gloss black.
volks just look so damn good and are light as hell!

by any chance do you have a good hookup for volks?
b.t.w. the centerline's are cool, but in the words of minihi "the volks are yummy"

I agree about the CE28ns, always fond of Volks, but for the two you listed, definately the Superlegras!

I don't have any hookups right now that I can remember - for good prices I usually check the miata boards as some of them run the same sizes that the MINI uses.

Try TonyB over at MINI2 for a hookup on Volks, he just got some and it was him or someone he knew that had such.

Oh, and give me your wifes e-mail so I can tell her she's the crazy one not letting you get a Pepper White MCS yet!

"more than they ..." hmm

anyways... Rune, are those photoshops of the different wheels or do you actually have a set of each?

Wow. Thanks for all the recommendations! I put Volks in the wheelwells, and well...

Looks interesting.. I just can't make up my mind! I know I'll be spending about 2 grand for lighter, better looking wheels and tires, but just can't decide... Argh! I do like the OZs, but the Konigs look nice too, a cool machined look. If you guys have any other interesting wheelsets, I'll see if I can put them on see what they look like!

Ya, these are all photoshopped. I'm working on getting it lowered and tinted, since all I've done so far is put the aero kit on and a Whalen Shift ****..

some other wheels you may want to look at

Centerline RPM
Volk TE37
BBS RG-R (not quite as light but they look great!)

I love my SSR Cs, but if I was buying now I'd have a tough time deciding between them and WedsSport TC-005s.

A couple size/weight examples: 16x7s are 12.7 lbs and 17x7.5 are 14.2 lbs. Unfortunately the 17x7.5s (my favorite) are about $460 a piece.

See more here.

I'll third that. I bought a set from Alex a couple of weeks ago. My car arrives next week (maybe) so they're sitting in the basement awaiting a wax job. They're amazingly beautiful--they have a luster that no picture I've seen has adequately captured. Also, the diamond black finish will turn from brilliant metalic silver to a metallic black at little more than a 10 or 20 degree shift in your relationship to them. Not for everybody, but I love 'em.

Pull the trigger on the Tantrums.
Seems I'm alone in that opinion, but they look the best on your car.
