eBay scam - are these really OEM wheels?

I noticed these wheels for sale on Ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TQ:MOTORS:1123

The seller claims they are OEM - "offered on European models as standard equipment" - but I've NEVER seen these wheels before. I've never seen them on a US mini, or in France or the UK when I was over there. And they aren't mentioned on the mini2 wheel list. So I am a bit skeptical that these are legit.

Can anyone confirm that these are OEM or not?

I have no personal interest in the wheels, but if they are fake I would like to report the seller to ebay (unless they admit they made a mistake).

They look more like VW wheels which supposedly fit our MINI's (according to ebay)

Thanks for the heads-up. These may be just the thing for my winter tires.
The guy's an E-Bay member since 03 and has 100% feedback. I'd take the risk myself.

100% feedback, but only 20 feedback points since 2003. But my problem is the misrepresentation of them as MINI OEM wheels. Who knows what the real quality of these wheels is. The price is a genuine steal for true new MINI OEM wheels, but it might be just an okay price for a set of cheap wheels.

MINI has never offered those wheels on any model.

The wheels being discussed are linked in the first post.

I was asking questions of the seller (they were very responsive) and I think I solved it. He said that "MG Rover" is stamped on the inside of the wheels. I think these must be wheels from the old Mini, not the BMW MINI!

He's also selling a set of 16" wheels that must be the same deal.

That kind makes them a bit special. And no wonder he can sell them so cheaply over here. Anyone know how good or bad the quality was on the OEM Rover Mini wheels?

Thanks for solving the mystery. I wasn't trying to argue with you. I assumed they weren't "real" MINI wheels, but if they fit my car and gave it a different look they'd be worth the risk. Especially since the guy appeared to be a steady reliable E-Bayer. I actually prefer buying from a guy with only a few transactions as opposed to a "store" with thousands of feedback replies. More personal. But I guess I'll just look elsewhere for winter wheels.
