Does anyone have one electronically they could share? I feel like buying one for $8 from Ebay is a huge scam.

I'd also buy a physical one if anyone has an extra.

 

At $8, there's no way that's legit. The hardcover Bentley manual is like $95.

This is ridiculous. There are a lot of vehicles whose service manuals can be downloaded for free online from many sources.

I agree if they were just scanned and uploaded, then sold on Ebay, that would be illegal.

btw ... the bentley is just the factory manuals scanned and reprinted ... but they pay for the permission to do so

Yes, it sucks that there is not a digital version of the Bentley manual available. But the sell used here and on other sites for less than the price of one dealer oil change.

So, buy one and be the master of your domain.

P.S. the Bentley is a very thorough manual. Much better than a Haynes type manual from a auto parts store.

 

Not for BMW and MINI. The official repair manual from BMW is an interactive application called TIS (Technical Information System). Before 2009, it was distributed to dealers on DVD (pirated copies available on eBay). Since 2009, BMW stopped distributing copies and it can only be accessed online through subscription (https://www.minitis.com/).

Some auto enthusiast sites have hosted the pre-2009 TIS manual but BMW has shut them down. There is still a Russian version hosted in Russia (http://www.bmwforums.info/general-gu...orkaround.html). If you open it in Chrome browser and use auto-translate, it is usable.

For a hardcopy manual, only Bentley has published one. The Bentley manual is essentially material from the TIS in printed form.

Nice work around? It's THEFT. Pure and simple... I bet you'd be pretty pissed if someone took your work, that you get paid for and started giving it away instead of paying you... Same thing....

Otherwise the Bentley manual is a nice book (goes up to 2013 now ) and you can write things done and make notes in it if you like .
