Show me your POWDER-COATED wheels!!!

I'm curious to see everyone's powder-cated wheels...s-lites, x-lites, etc. etc.

Please post pics!

I'm ESPECIALLY interested in seeing x-lites (R84s) and webspokes (R94s?).

Thanks!

Erika

BEAUTIFUL wheels!

How did you deal with the plastic centercaps?

Do you remember how much you paid to have the wheels powdercoated?

Thanks!

I just dropped off two used Rota Subzeros for PC...$75 for each includes repairing curb rash. If it weren't for the rash I would have considered painting instead.

Centers are powdercoated in a matte 'rallye grey' color, lips are fully polished (not machine cut), and bolts have been plated with gold

Powdercoating was only $40 per wheel (though, they're multi-piece wheels so they're a bit smaller than normal wheels once the lips are removed)

Thanks.
I paid too much. The next set (r98) I have done, I was quoted $180. All four.
Center caps were professonally painted at my Bros. shop. However, I
had good luck with Krylon Fusion plastic paint first.

Kosei's ........white to black!

Had my Kosei K1 racing rims go from factory white to Satin Black. $90 per wheel.....

Question tho..... I assume there is no clearcoat, What would be best? Have a body shop spray them with a top coat or just use a Dupli-color rattle can?

I am hoping to see someones S-Lites done in black myself, hopefully on a Dark Silver MINI with a White Top and mirrors. Because I kind of liked having my snows on cheap black metal rims all winter, the black looked kind nice on my setup.

Well it's not wearing S-Lites but how about these? You'll get the idea....

These are my track day rain wheel/tire setup. Yikes! This was pre-coilovers and the centercaps are now black as well....

Twas the reason I wanted to do the Kosei's in black. Plus don't have to clean them as often!
