For those of you with Rota Slipstreams....

For those of you with Rota Slipstreams, 16x7 and 16x6.5 both have a 56.1 mm hub, but which offset did you choose? I have an R56 on order and I will lower it about an inch sometime in the near future. I plan on using 205's (maybe 215's tires if available) but a potential rubbing issue could be averted with the right offset (only 40 and 45 are available apparently)... Any input (especially from the R56 owners) appreciated

Not a R56 owner but, I run the 40mm off set with a 205/50/16. I "was" on M7 springs (1.3 low) and had no rubbing at all. I'm now on coilovers with a 2 inch drop and still no rubbing.

Are you using the 16x7?

So will Slipstreams work with the 14mm lugs?

I thought so too, but I'm curious to know whether a lug conversion is needed.

I'm using a 16 x 6.5 Slipstream with the 45mm offset and mounting a 215/45 x 16 Falken 615 tire. The sport suspension with stock ride height and 14mm lugs. No problems at all.

There should be no need for a lug conversion as long as far as I know. I know a handful of later R53 (with the 14mm lugs) that run Rota wheels. Just make sure you specify the right hub bore (56.1). By the way, are you in Columbus by any chance?

Yes I am. I completely missed your location. You're just up the road a bit.

Sorry to revive an old thread. Does anyone know if the Rota 16X7 slips clear the 296mm r56brakes?

Thanks,
