Rotas on a R56?

As the title states, Im looking at getting some wheels for my MINI and i really like how the Rota Torques look.... im just not sure what the specifications i need are. Also, since my MINI is a later build, it has the direct TPMS. Can anyone help me out?

Call 18racing

I have some 6.5x16 Rota Slipstreams with a 45 offset on my 07 MCS. Call 18 racing and they will know what fits. Make sure they understand you have an R56 and not an R53. I believe they suggested Torques as a wheel that would fit the 07 MCS. You should be fine with a 40 offset too so long as you don't go wider than 205. I went with 215/50/16 and they work fine with the 45 offset. I'm not lowered. Hope this helps.

18 racing

The address is www.18racing.com

I order from them and tried 15" wheels on my 07 MCS. Surprisingly they fit on the front, but would have needed big spacers to work on the rear. When I order them they thought I was asking for wheels for an R53 though I was very clear it was for an R56. They shipped the 15" quickly, but were slow to send me a shipping label to send them back, but they did and they paid for shipping them back. Then they shipped the 16" out quickly. Later I order some different center caps and they were very slow to send them. I had to call a couple of times. All in all I'm OK with them because they took the 15" wheels back even though I think they still believe I didn't specifically ask for wheels to fit an R56. Others here speak highly of them.

My new Rota Wheels from 18racing.com

these are my new 16x6.5 (45mm offset) Rota slipstreams in flat black with 225/50-16 Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R's. I was happy with 18racing.com as they delivered on time for a great price!

"acender, did your car have the new direct TPMS?"

No, mine is a early 07 with the indirect system.

We stock several Rota styles. I can tell you for certain the the 17" RB and D2 wheels will fit and that the TPMS sensors will work in them.

Rota Torque isn't currently available in the correct bolt pattern/size for the MINI. Except there may be one set of gold 17x7.5's available.

I ordered my Rotas from 18racing.com. While the rims showed up quickly, I was less than impressed with the customer service. The website "feels" hacked as far as quality is concerned and the phone support is, um, not quite what I'd expect from a company that regularly conducts $500+ transactions. At the end of the day, I guess it's the same set of wheels that you might pay more for elsewhere, but I'm not ready to offer a full fledged recommendation.

FWIW, my R56 is now flying on 16x6.5 Slipstreams w/ et 45mm and HB of 67.1 (if memory serves me).

Silver Rota Torques 17 x 7.5 et 45 on my MINI. They do make them but you have to be willing to wait. These were special order and took about 2 1/2 months from 18racing.com.

They do look nice. But 2 1/2 months is definitely not within my definition of "currently available." I like to sell wheels from stock.

Hey Dan,

I want to get a set of wheels for the track. What is your availability on Rota Boost 1775 et45 in gun metal or steel gray?

Do you know much about the Rota Real Lite? How much do they actually weigh?

Thanks!

Roger

Not good. Only bronze available right now.

The 15 x 6.5" are very light -- 12 pounds? -- but I don't think they're going to clear your R56 brakes. Unless someone here knows otherwise...
