wheel locks...

I've got an '07 and put Motegi Traklites on. Does anyone know of a wheel lock that will fit. The set from Mini will not work. The "key" wont fit the wheel. Anyone have some info?

all my Tracklite fitments use stock 14x1.25 hardware. OEM locks should work.

BTW, wheel locks are pretty useless... I had a set on my Porsche (factory) except when I bought the car the evil PO had "lost" the key. I brought the car to a shop, and the shop owner removed all 4 locks in about 1 minute.

Tools? BFH and chisel.

Just thought you ought to know.

Hi Alex,
Sorry, not talking about the lugs themselves. The "key" used to tighten and loosen will not fit the recess around the lug.

Any car thief worth his salt wouldn't be slowed down by wheel locks. In my opinion they're a waste of time and money. If they want your wheels there isn't a wheel lock made that will stop them.

we know we cannot stop the professional...we're just trying to slow down the amateurs. I have my locks from McGard (OEM to most factories) and they come in black and chrome finishes, and yes if the key is lost, most shops carry a master set (usually around 8-9 different patterns). still cheap insurance (IMHO)
