Not trying to be difficult either, just helpful. )

Oh, I like the wheel itself I was just bummed about the marketing of the MINI product w/ the BMW center cap. Yeah, yeah, I know BMW owns and makes parts for the MINI, and they share a good amount of parts. But, is there not a line where BMW is BMW and MINI is MINI. Especially if you are MINI after market parts boutique?

Here is a dumb example. If you/I buy a dodge (Diamler/Chrysler), would you buy wheels with Mercedes center caps? Or if you were an after market seller of dodge products would you sell Mercedes marked wheels to dodge owners?

Don't get me wrong I love BMW's. I just think the line is skewed in that, do we drive BMW's or not? Do they share components? yes. But the engine was also a joint venture between BMW and Diamler/Chrysler. So do I drive a Merc/Dodge/Chrysler? no. Did I buy my MINI from a BMW dealership? Well, sort of. OK, yes. But on the MINI side. Can I buy BMW wheels for my MINI? no. They are all five Lug. Would I anyway, If I could? no. Why? I drive a MINI.

Like I stated just a moment ago I like the wheels. I just wouldn't pay extra for that center cap.

So now I am completely confused? What do I drive?

Sorry about going a little off topic.

Just to be off topic a little more, not like this thread has ALWAYS been on topic anyways, I understand the whole BMW thing, but are they replaceable with MINI ones? Honestly, If I could get some Competition Package M3 wheels in a MINI size and offset, I would buy them in a heartbeat. Now, the BMW cap would definately be replaced with a MINI one, but those are some sexy wheels:

On Topic:
The teddy bear wheels are cute, but it has to be painted for the full effect. Wagnbat, I love those wheels, I bet when you're rolling they look stunning. And XAlfa, nothing against your whip, but those are very bling-bling. They have to be 20's b/c of how small they make the brakes look. Actually to be honest, I thought they were photoshopped on there, but after looking at the brakes they kinda don't look it as much, but they still do at the same time. Confused? I am b/c I can't decide.

I used to not think i needed wheel locks on my relatively cheap Rota's.....

I'll post pics later to show you why i now run BMW wheel locks.

Finally the wait is over. Bought Wheels in December, Tires in early March and now this April Fool has finally got them on the car! Good news, I like 'em. Bad news is, its pretty clear the car needs to be lowered at least an inch or more. Thanks to Annette etal for pointing me to the location of the, ala the Cult, lug removal machine.

I'm looking at the photo, and those wheels look remarkably like my (ICW Racing) 73H Omegas... (<http://icwracing.com/wheel.php?wnum=12>)

Either those are nice BMW Center Caps, a good photoshop job, or apparently I like the BMW style and didn't even realize it... any input from the masses?

PS: (I just read a previous post that said "please post specs..")
16" ICW Racing 73H Omegas,
TOYO Proxie TPT 205/50R16 87V

PSS: from a debate with a co-worker: do wheels & tires count as "mods"?

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! Them's fightin werds!!!

Your photo sent a shiver down my spine! My wheels aren't "all that", but I think the price of lug-locks is a lot cheaper than the 5-10years I'd get for aggravated assault. Thanks for the non-subtle reminder.

Insurance did cover it, and they were the stock wheels so as you know they don't come with wheel locks. Sadly what is bitter sweet is that our lug pattern is the same as honda's so what ever wheels we have can be used on cars that are very popular with theft.
