I guess that is how silver became so popular!!! So easy to keep clean and looks classy also. I tend to wash my cars every 5-7 days so it has never been a necessity to get a silver or white car. I almost got the Mini in Black, but decided that we liked the blue so much that we might as well try it. I can always get a black car some other time.

Love your GT-7's. Are those the Ray Engineering wheels? Volks? What is the weight of each wheel? Are they forged? Do you mind me asking how much you paid for them?

Thanks!

They are about 17lbs each. Yes Volk Racing. Made by Rays Engineering. Forged two piece wheels. IIRC, paid $1700 for just the wheels.

I might be selling the wheels soon. Let me know if you're interested.

Here is one wheel and tire on my MCSa. lt is a 5Zigen cast wheel in 7"x16" size and a Kumho tire in 215/50-16 size. The 5Zigen name is stenciled onto the wheel and I am unsure how to remove it. The shop did not have black wheel locks and the center cap is bronze color. So it has an ad hoc look.

I wonder why my photos are always so small. Oh well.

SSR GT7s

Just got these on yesterday. Beautiful wheels.
Specs:
17x7.5
Yokohama ES100s 205-45-17

Love the ride. Amazing difference from the runflats. Car feels more lively.

Look! No spacers.

Props to Eric at Helix for taking care of me.

I love my ride!

What kind of taillights do you have on your car? Is that just film?

Great looking car. Did you get the wheel and tire package from Tire Rack through Eric? I love the rim color, looks real nice. What are you planning on running through the winter?

Did you mount the M7 splitter to your license plate bracket or do I need new glasses?

I believe Eric does go through Tire Rack. for the winter I plan on going back to my OZ F1s with runflats. Hoping for an Indian summer.

Your eyes do not deceive you. No need for glasses. I did not want to drill holes in my bumper when I first got it so I went the route of using the license plate bracket as my mounting point. I've had it this way for over a year without issue.

I wonder how much downforce you will get with that. I have talked to randy and peter about the supports, and they both believe that they need to look like " \ .............. / " in order for it to give any sort of proper support neccesary to actually hold the splitter in place during high speed runs.

I think downforce would be about the same, if not better. My mounting is "/......\". Good triangulation. The reason I say this may be better is because the supports are held in place by the license plate frame which is structurally stronger than the bumper. The license plate frame won't deform as much as the bumper when downforce is being applied onto the supports.
Just my thoughts, but they seem to make sense.

Hey! I've got those!

I saw your rims/tires at Helix before you got them on! I was there on the 18th for the Dyno Day he ran for PhillyMINI. I haven't seen anyone with those rims yet besides me . I love the SSR GT7's . I'm running Pirelli PZero Nero's A/S on them, ditched the performance run-flats.

I saw that you were thinking about the aero grill? I've just added that with a blacked out hood scoop. I also live in NJ so I'm hoping to get away with not having the front license plate bracket on there for as long as I can. It really kills the look of the aero.

Some other post I'll share why I added the aero grill - it is wheel related!
