The black superleggera's would look great on your car!
IMHO I'd go 17" with a 1" drop.

Yes, as long as the offset, width, and tire size are within the regular stock boundaries.

Yep, 1" drop is no biggie. You could do more if you wanted but would rub a tiny bit.

I'd get the 18s and drop the car on coils to get the look you want.

Curious, what made you pick the M3 over say a Porsche Carrera/S ?

The wife and I have been pouring over these pages and more looking for wheels for '05 PS MCS and cannot reach any conclusion either.
We're not so sure about the black OZ UL's on the silver cars. I think it gives the car a real sporty/track look but definately doesn't dress up the car. Unless pictures don't do them justice. The silver UL's look more dressed up for certain, but is it too much??
We were set on the Konig Feather in silver until I talked to a fellow at ALTA and he said it was a flat silver with no clearcoat. Now we're not so sure...
This sucks!

I would but I'm sooo busy on this thread
OK now lookin at some Enkei RS+M hmmm
Actually Mrs Bean, have you looked at some of the XXR (Sportmax) wheels? Some 502's or 941's might be the answer. They seem reasonably priced and the charcoal grey insert with polished lip may be the answer for a more showey (is that even a word?) look.
Best of luck.....

Just an opinion...but if you've got an M3, you may want to look at wheels other than the XXR (sportmaxx) wheels.....they're pretty low quality wheels.

I looked at HRE wheels but they are $6000 for JUST the wheels AND at least 4 weeks wait i'm totally confused! By one account, I think $6000 is an investment for a wheel that has a lifetime warranty, BUT $6000????? Then again, I spent $7000 on my sound/nav system... ho hum... decisions, decisions!!! H E L P !!!

I suggest getting some Volks. Cheaper than HRE, more expensive than Drags. Super duper wheels, light strong and high quality finshes. Many different styles, too.

One of these sites should sell them at a pretty good price: (sorry about bad links if there are any, haven't shopped in a while)

Today I replaced my 16 inch Rota's that I had sold last month with a set of "Konig Feather's".The look of the Rota's on my car never really applead to me all that much because they were a polished black wheel (royal black) but they were a great set of in expensive performance wheels at the scant weight of 13.5 lbs. I bought them a year ago so that I would'nt have to run on my my 18's in the canyons and ended up falling in love with the ride quality of 16 inch wheels and tires so much so that I would leave the 18's off the car for weeks at a time . So this time I got what I think are a set of wheels that really look great with the color and stance of my car. I love the look of my 18 inch Enkei J10's on my car. The J10's are a matte black with a machine'd lip and I really love that look so I was planing on getting the Feathers in they're matt black but at the last minute, I decided to go with the Matte silver. I don't think I could have lived with the "all black" wheel. "All black wheels just get lost color wise on a PW car IMOP. I think the matte silver really looks great and I'm really happy with my choice ! Finding these wheels took forever ! Here are a couple of photo's I took after mounting them this afternoon. I'd love to hear what everybody thinks !

Here's a shot of Boo sporting his 18's. I just love this look !

Awesome Paulie! I gotta say the 18's look pretty sweet but my roads wouldn't be too friendly with that size.
I'm REALLY liking your Feathers!!! They are very similar to the Enkei RS+M that I found a pic of on a white cooper like yours. I'm going to post that pic as soon as I can figure out how.
I gotta know what kind of suspension are you running and what size of tire on the 16's.
