Do you think these 17inch wheels with mount to the R56 S?
ADVAN RZ

Here is the pdf file for the fitting, check out the chart for IMPORTED cars.
I'm hoping the 17x7 4x100 M14Hole is the one for the R56.
So which is better, ET38 or ET42?

Either offset will work....it's only a 4mm difference which is very small. What size tire do you plan on running? Lowering the car at all? I'd say et38 unless you're looking to fit some really wide tires or something....then I'd go et42 just to gain a little extra clearance.
Well, since these are 7 width wheels, i'll probably stick with the OEM size of 205/45/17, I might try 215/40/17 down the road.
Yes, I will be lowering the car the absolute max of 1 inch but in realty, it should be .75 inch. I do not plan to scrape the bottom of the car too much.
With the ET42 vs ET38, how much gap if left between the wheel lip and the edge of the car's fender? Cause later on, i am planning to install a BBK. With my past experience with BBKs, the aluminium hat mounts to the hub, and that adds to the ET, so perhaps ET38 now would be great but later on, too much?

I think so too!
Check out the pdf link i posted up, scroll down to the sizing chart or IMPORTED cars. There you will find the 17 x 7. Do note that that is a Japanese brochure and 'domestic' cars to them are Japanese, 'imported' are what ever else that's not manufactured and produced in Japan.
Well, getting them in USA isn't a problem. Just go a google search for them and you'll get pleanty of tuner shops that's bringing them in.
Pricey...... hell yeah! Comparable to Volks.
