Something like that... I think the "Focus" is actually a Civic. MINI had an suv, but I removed that one from the sheet

hmmmm, TEMPTING!! However, after my wheels were jacked I picked up a set of BBS RY-II that I will be putting on hopefully sooner than later. Just gotta get some tires.

I was going to be putting a set of these rims on my 08 MCS (laser blue w/ black sport stripes btw). I had a couple questions first and wondered if anyone here might have an idea...

1: How easily do these kinds of painted rims chip/scratch?

2: My MINI service guy told me he was 'pretty sure' they would fit my preexisting 17" performance run-flat factory wheels but was concerned about the pressure gauge fitting (as there is no carved out area in the new rims for it to fit). Has anyone used the factory tires on new rims, and, if so, did you have any problems like this?

Any help would be much appreciated.

No finish will protect the wheel from grinding against a concrete curb, but MOST painted finishes should be resistant to road grit and dirt. Not all, though...see if you can find someone who's had these for a couple of years.

Factory 17" tires will mount up to any standard 17" wheel between, say, 6.5" and 7.5" wide. But the pressure sensors will not fit every wheel. It's not that the new wheel doesn't have a carved out area (called the drop center), but that the position of the valve stem hold and the shape of the drop center may not allow for the sensor to fit. Either ask the manufacturer, or see if you can get your hands on a wheel to test-fit it.

What brand and type of wheel are those?
