Yeah funny story. I had arranged to get a different set of wheels. Sat around for 20 minutes waiting for the wheels to be fitted, got bored and went to a nearby car part store. Came back and they said the wheels i had choosen didnt fit with the mini cooper lugs. They happened to have my current set hidden away in boxes. Love at first sight lol. 30 minutes later they were on the car.

PS. Post some pictures of your Mini. See what style rims will suit it.

That's the problem; I don't have it yet. I ordered on 4/21 However, I do have a picture of a car with the same color combo. These are actually the wheels I have ordered, but I'm not sure if I want to keep them.

Now that's a lot of chrome; a bit too "thick" for me.

I think I found my wheels. They look like the R90 Mini wheels that sell for $3600, however they are only $105/wheel. What do you think?

So are you saying that the Mini wheel is made by BBS? I did wonder what the difference in Quality was. The $3600 for the Mini mesh wheels doesn't seem so bad if they in fact are BBS wheels. Thanks.

Yup....the r90 is made by BBS. They are real 2-piece as well which plays a big part in the high price tag.

Well, the heck with saving a buck. I'm sure the fit and finish is superior, not to mention the ride quality and overall durability. Thanks again.

your ride quality will be dictated by what tire you choose

Speaking of which - have any suggestions for a tire you're liking recently?

I believe these are Tenzo GF-7's. They look really nice, anyone else have an opinion or pic?

Also, does anyone know what wheels these are?

ASA AR1 are 'Licensed by BBS', meaning they pay BBS a fee for the look. They are made in Korea and better than the unknown Drag wheels. Not much more....a set a silver ASA AR1's is a perfect choice on a MINI (look up in the last page or two...pics of a silver MINI from Coen de K...18" ASA AR1's).

Just be aware that almost everyone that gets aftermarket wheels for a MINI gets ASA's. They look great, but if you're going for unique...keep looking...

true, but I'll probably end up with a set for winter use if I don't get something else in the meantime.

That and they seem to be fragile. Well, i guess compared to my Forged HRE's they are. I used to have a set of ASA-AR1's, and i bent the fronts after a month of ownership
