I thought the AR2's werent out til june! Woot, I was going to get another set of AR1's (since mine are too small) but maybe i'll pick those up instead.
It's pretty low already. I'd guess it's down at least 2 inches from stock.
I'm already rubbing on my driveway, so I'm hesitant to go any lower.
If it was lowered 2 inches, you'd be tucking tire at the very least.....I don't think that's 2 inches of lowering as you still have a wheel gap. Wheels look awesome!!! But I agree, lower it and the car would come together. The only thing you're scraping is the drop-down lip under the car....just trim it or remove it and you'll never scrape again and you'll be able to get rid of the wheel gap

I was parked next to an R56 with H&R springs (1.5" IIRC) and my car was noticeably lower. He had stock OD tires and he had more wheel gap than I have. This combined with what Danny told me about how much he lowers to start with have me believing that it's a good 2 inches lower. I should have measured the tops of the wheel arches before and after. When it was first done on the stock S-winders, I couldn't see the tops of the rear tires.
I want to lower the front about 1/4 to 1/2" to level things out, but I doubt that I'll go much lower than that.
I agree that it'd look better lower, though.
I'll probably go with a 215/45 or 225/40, if something good and non-slick comes out, tire when it's time to replace these tires in about a year.
I've been eyeing these, too, but I'm a little concerned with the quality as they're made in China. Do they use regular lug bolts or do they need tuner lugs?
Thanks for showing them on the car, I've been photochopping it to the pic of my car to see how they would look, but nothing beats real pictures.
I'm using the tuner lugs from TSW. As for the quality, the finish looks real nice, the painted finish might scratch easily, will see. However I'm using high quality SSR's for the track.
I'm waiting to see what TSW comes up with. They're supposedly working on a set of springs that splits the difference between current offerings (1.2" drop) and the JCSW springs (<0.4" drop). I don't like the extreme low-rider look, but the JCW springs don't go far enough to make a worthwhile difference. I'll probably do an 18.5mm rear sway bar at the same time.
I'm in the club! I'm in the club! Although, now seeing kenchan's latest pics, I'm off to look at some lowering options. Poop.
17" MB Seven X wheels (Discount Tires specials) wrapped in Wanli 205/40ZR17's. Some creative Craigslisting on my days off gets me cheap but nice looking new shoes. Just a quick shot taken in my "garage" tonight...
Heya Scoop, good to see ya here. (I'm on PSMINI also)
Those are nice looking rims; seven spokes are my preferred style, especially with polished lips. Do you know how much they weigh?
