My latest new set of wheels (this makes the fourth set I've had, but I only have two, currently). They're Team Dynamics Pro Race 1 in the anthracite finish with 225/50/15 Toyo Proxes T-1R tires. +40mm offset.

For anyone who's concerned about clearance, the only thing I was really worried about was the tire-to-shock distance. It's just fine, and you *might* even be able to go a little wider...

I am in the same position as trying to figure out what wheels to put on my 04 MINI S. Mine is silver, and Im thinking a black combo would be sexxy, but to bring out the girl in me, I was also thinking about some pink 17" wheels with matching side mirrors. Im also not wanting to spend an arm and a leg to get wheels either, so im trying to stick around $500. All these wheels listed below run about that. Also, for the lowering springs, try JSCspeed.com for Tein S style, they lower you about and 1.5 and have a great rating.

Thanks for posting the pictures. Great looking MINI, nice rims too.
I was really concerned about 225/50=15 won't clear the suspension.

Here is my track set up, 205/50-15.

I think I might go for 215/50-15 instead.

Anyone interested in 205/50 for cheap.

Try photobucket.com

At the bottom of the picture when you put it on the site, you'll find an image code for posting on forums.

Just ordered a set of these in 17x7 at the low price of $490 shipped including centering rings. 16.7 lbs each. Going with the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec 215/45/17 on an R56 lowered on H&R springs. I was going to go with 215/40 but I think I am OK with the larger R56 wheel wells. The wheels are 40mm offset. Thoughts?

I was debating between these and the Konig feathers. If you don't mind me asking where did you get them for that price???

Found them at several places on Ebay. Sent e-mails with a low-ball offer until I found one that bit. It was these guys:

Ahhhhh, the art of negotiation.

Im running Weds Sport TC-005s 17x7 42 offset with Direzza Z1 215/45/17 Lowered on H&R R56 JCW Aero.

You will love the 215/45 size, 40 makes it a bit too harsh. Be careful with the Direzza... they are a good tire but lack the audible feedback of other hi pref summer tires... they dont howl and screech to let you know you are close to the edge... they just break loose.

Here is a set I put on a couple of weeks ago.

They are 18 x 7.5 with a 45mm offset. The tires are 215/40/18 Nitto Neo-Gen. Thinking about getting some 5mm spacers to push them out a little.
