0 rubbing issues. The only problem at times is hitting a good dip and scraping the 1" lip on the lower part of the Aero Kit front bumper.

yah, mine scrapes that bottom diffuser looking thing on the front
aero kit too sometimes when going super fast through a turn and
driving over a bump or something at mid turns. no biggie.

So I just measured it on my stock MCS, looks like about 6" available. I guess I am just too OLD to understand the "WHY" of the lowering it question...

you're measuring the wrong part of the car!

we're measuring wheel gap vs sidewall to make our street cars
look better. (and if you do it right, the car will even handle
better than stock).

OK, Gotcha,

there isn't a requirement that if I "lower" my MINI, I have to have a corresponding "lowering" of my wardrobe beltline is there?

Maybe I'd look into that then...

P.S. lowering a car in Chicago? I know those so-called highways, you're a man who likes to live dangerously.

They're laying on the kitchen floor

I was waiting to get the blown KW V2s back from KW before I installed them. Now I have the KWs back, but I need time to re-install them Who came up with working 5-6 days a week anyway?

Update on the Teins, after messing around with them a bunch they are going back to the drawing board to re-work them. All for the good I am told. So the word is that the shock will be revalved to a softer compression and the spring rate will be changed. After putting a bunch of miles on it we could'nt get it dialed in enough to be happy.
Keep you posted as to what the results are.

great to hear that! i hope tein will dail down the spring rate to say 300 front, 350 back (hard on the street, but just good enough if you ask me... if it was me i'd say throw even a bit more bias to the rear, say a 250/350 combo)

that'd be my setup when my konis/eibachs blow on me
